Hi! I'm an "old"-bie ;) Been on MFP for over 300 days. I also didn't get involved in the community until about 2 or 3 months into my weight loss; I've got about 5lbs to go for my goal weight of 110lbs (50kg). Anyway, I log religiously so feel free to add me!

Hi, I'm 19 feel free to add me :)
-
Yup, android users too - I'm one -_- Fitbit/MFP, please get your act together soonish...
-
Yeah, I'm getting it too. Its been almost 3 days, and there's zero syncing between my fitbit and MFP, or the MFP mobile app and the MFP desktop version. Its driving me up the wall, and I've disconnected/reconnected several times with no change. :(

Yes. This, so so so much. I'm on mid semester break, and knowing what exactly is in the cupboards when I'm downstairs studying and bored outta my mind.... :p :'( :D
-
Lol, ikr? 5'4 and 4 days a week here....looked terrible at 130lbs. Oh well. Good job OP!!! :)
-
Thanks for your input everyone. I guess logically I can see that I should take a break. It feels like I'm giving up, but I don't think I have much of a choice. Bioklutz: yes, I've been pretty careful to maintain healthy ratios for the most part; I'm pretty active, training 4 days a week plus multiple university classes a…

Absolutely, its the best way for me and many others. When I'm hungry, and have to mentally on-the-spot run through all my food options, decide if I want to save calories for later, figure out how to meet my protein macro, plus fibre too it all gets a bit stressful for me lol. So yes, pre-logging ftw!

I was fine for the first 5 months of a deficit, and then my last one got really weird - extremely late (thought I'd skipped it), very light, and lasted much longer than usual. I wasn't underweight, had a BMI of 19.3. But I was also extremely stressed, so that might have been it too.
-
Hey, we had the exact same breakfast! :)
-
4 weetbix with 120mls milk, topped with 89g of banana and a sprinkling of hot chocolate powder. And 16oz of coffee.
-
My diary is open to my friends, you can add me :)

I won't be much help, because I'm having the same problem...but yes, I know how you're feeling. Remember, you're only two months in, and stalls/plateaus are common. Weight loss is rarely beautifully linear. Just keep going, and if its feasible maybe decrease the calories.

I'm with Lyndzdee18 on this - 22,000 steps is not sedentary, your calories should absolutely increase from the amount given to a sedentary person. I know it's hard to get out of the mindset that "but if I eat even less than what MFP gives me I'll lose weight even faster!", but trust me: bad idea. Been there, done that. For…

I make egg-wraps a lot: low cal wrap with 2 eggs and salsa. Add in avocado, pickles, jalapeños, butter, cheese, anything. Low cal Greek yogurt with chocolate protein powder and pb2 is the absolute best! Salads with meat (beef, chicken) or fish, and veggies such as beans work well. And in a pinch, shakes and bars never fail.

I just started using the mason jar salad ideas, been great so far :) If you can't use fresh veggies for whatever reason, canned veggies work well too.

As long as it fits your calories, nothing wrong with it, regarding fat loss. Deficit is what matters. About a month ago I had some strange cravings, and ate a burger king ice cream sundae every day. Sometimes twice a day. Maybe even three. But I made sure it fit into my calorie deficit, and sure enough - I kept losing…

What worked for me was finding an activity that I loved. I discovered martial arts, and it was all I wanted to do all the time. So I recommend maybe alongside the gym, find a sport of some sort that you enjoy. It honestly changed my life.

I received my fitbit on Tuesday, hasn't synced with MFP at all, despite my numerous attempts.
-
If this is a lifestyle change, we gotta accept the rough patches that come with it :) Keep going!
-
Just added you too, Amy!
-
Thanks for doing this topic! I'm very new to salads, but as you say they're brilliant for a calorie budget, and are so customisable.

Awesome work, must be an amazing feeling! I dream about reaching my Maintenance Day.
-
Yay I'm Auckland NZ too!!! I was so excited to see this thread!

Now I'm confused - my Omron handheld bf% analyser puts me at 15.7% body fat. I'm 18, female. Its unreasonable for me to lose 0.7% more? I thought it'd be okay to hit at least 14.5%.
-
I'm 5'3-5'4, 114lbs and pear shaped too. I still noticeable carry weight on my lower half. Its pretty frustrating. As for a solution - I may be wrong, but at 5'1 and 132lbs, I'm pretty sure you are able to lose a good 20lbs or so whilst still having a healthy BMI - the fat loss I think would have some effect on your thigh…

I just used the recipe function on MFP; if you use 6 eggs, and 120g cheese to make 6 muffins it comes to 147kcals per muffin.

Hi, I'm 18!
-
Is there anyone here who's aiming for 105-110lbs at 5'3? I've got a very small frame, so that's my goal.
-
Is that app for android? Tried searching it, but can't find it.
