Lean cuts of meat and fish for protein. Legumes provide protein and fibre, low glycemic carbs. The blog section has tonnes of great recipes. Google no-bake energy bites... Delicious and fairly quick to make. Lots of variations to try.

Firstly, you identified a major problem. Undereating leads you to binging. So, slow and steady wins. Secondly, non-food rewards are a good thing to help keep you going. After a couple of weeks of consecutively meeting my calorie goal, I bought an album on iTunes. The next day, I set a goal not to stop working out until the…

Actually, exercise is part of the equation. It's part of the CO. More importantly, resistance training can minimize lean muscle mass loss.

Actually, genetics teacher is also incorrect. It has NOT been proven false, yet has yet to be proven true. http://www.m.webmd.com/diet/features/diet-sodas-and-weight-gain-not-so-fast

Dianne gave some wonderful insights. Fruits have lots of micronutrients important for your body's health. Carbs are not your enemy. Excess is. If 1200 is too little, go into your settings and lower your weight loss goals. Ohh... Ignore those cleanses... Those types of post-ers should be banned.

Forget everyone. Make a plan and execute it. I throw my eat buds in and grind out my workout.

Circuit training; you develop muscle while getting benefits of cardio.

Chin up! You're doing many healthy things. Pat yourself on the back for that. 800 calories for a 10 mile bike ride is pretty high. ( I weigh 270 and, on bike machine 1 hour ,25 mile "ride" is about 500 calories) It's important to eat some exercise calories back. Try 50% of them for a few weeks. See how that goes.

Water is essential for metabolic processes. Infuse it with lemon. Tea is good, but several are diuretics.

Deli meats have a tonne of sodium, but like all things, can be enjoyed in moderation. CICO is important for weight loss. You can eat the healthiest of foods, but if you consume more calories than you use, you'll gain weight. That being said, eating lower calorie meals lacking the micronutrients will not be great for long…

Wonderfully stated.

Book em Dano, the grammar police nab another. Maybe the weight wasn't tight, ergo loose?

Good way to get protein, but some have like 20g of sugars. That is a lot of added sugar right off the hop. Are you grabbing them for convenience? Time?

Lies!! My carrots are not clean when pulled from my garden.

Positive thoughts your way. Mm mm.... Almond butter!!

Great replies! You may review your diet to sort out where the ADDED sugars are found and look for ways to reduce that.

Well said!! It's done! Move forward.

Damn MM, I spit up my coffee on fork drops.

Lots of great advice! Here's my routine: 1) quick check of flyers for sale items on foods I like (fruits, veggies, lean meats) on Thursday. 2) I decide what meals I am going to make during the week on Friday. 3) Saturday, I run to my 2 fave markets with food list on phone. When I get home, I cook a batch or 2 of meals,…

With those dumbbell, you can do a lot of circuit training activities that have an after workout burn; that is, your body burns calories at a higher rate for a period of time after the session is done. But there is no way I know of to quantify those numbers

http://www.m.webmd.com/diet/features/diet-sodas-and-weight-gain-not-so-fast Several links to the available studies out there. Personally, I believe moderation is key, and a person's genetic makeup. I find that, when I am eating well, cravings for sugary foods are less. In terms of CICO, diet sodas don't affect.

There is something out there along those lines called "intermittent fasting" .

Thanks Eljeffe! Dogs are the best exercise buddies. They never say no to a good walk. Jill[/quote] For sure! 4 days in a row now. Mine were racing as soon as I came back outside after arriving home. They actually flip when they see me reaching for doggie poo bags.

This! Summer is around the corner so walking can be great! Nothing like vitamin sun to recharge the soul. Gyms are great for strength based activities and on rainy days.
