I worked out the morning of, and prioritized the foods that I really wanted to eat. For the day after, I'm making turkey vegetable soup! I'm very happy with myself for this year, I remember last year I felt consumed with guilt. Not this year! :D

My class is VERY similar, except we don't break down the degrees of brown belt, you receive your brown belt and have to wait generally three years until you can take your black belt. I take Shotokan Karate.

Fantastic! How many competitors? I'm in the state of MS so we average 100-130 competitors during tournament season. It used to be a lot bigger in the hey day, from what I'm told. I'm from California, however, so I can imagine that the tournament has a much higher competitor count!

I feel better working out on an empty stomach. However, if I wake up feeling particularly bad, I'll take a few bites of X food and wait an extra ten to twenty minutes. Normally, I enjoy having my coffee and breakfast post workout. It sets me in a good mindset for the rest of the day :smile:

1.5 teaspoons of sugar and a tablespoon of nestle natural bliss creamer. My favorite is the hazelnut flavor! :)

Coffee is my reward after my morning workout. I love it!

Strength training 3x per week followed by a 20 minute run, then two days a week where I run at higher speeds and for longer. Sunday and Wednesday to rest :)

I'm not training for anything specific, but three days a week I do strength first then run, and for the other two days I only run and for much longer :)

I love running, I do it almost every time I workout. However, I've grown to really like strength training as well and I'm glad I started doing it! Another exercise that's fun is beating up a punching bag.

I just got through with my morning workout, haha! I'm one of those people who can workout on an empty stomach but if I wait too long after waking up, I'll snack a little first.
