I personally like the Wendy's southwest chicken avocado salad! I get the half salad. Their chili is under 200 calories, too, if I remember correctly!

I hope you feel better soon @Maxematics. I wish I could contribute more but I have no personal experience to relate. I'm a silent lurker in these forums lol. I will say, I've enjoyed reading the thread since some knowledgeable posters have weighed in. This internet stranger hopes you get back in fighting shape! :)

Thank you so much for this. Period bloat is real, and so is the discouragement that comes from it. This picture helps a lot with putting into perspective that women don't magically get bigger overnight and to take it in stride 🙂

I don't eat much at all the day before my period and a few days after it starts. My weight drops and I think "hmm, doesn't seem legit" and then by day 4 I resume eating normally, my water weight shoots up, I think "oh lawwwd" and then by day 6 it drops again and I'm back to normal. Every single month lol :D

I do, especially since I'm not a fan of the cold! I'm not sure what your situation is (how far the gym is, if your car's heat can go full blast, etc) but it helps me to wake up 10-15 minutes early to thaw out. Then, I like to do some warm up exercises to get my heart going like jumping jacks, running in place, push-ups,…

I'm 5'4" and maintain between 107-111 depending on the time of the month lol. I'm not as tight on my logging as I could be. My maintenance calories are 1500-1700. I'm guesstimating. I usually log 1500ish but i'm accounting for the inaccuracies.

I was told that if I wanted to bulk up and build a little more muscle without getting fat, I'd just have to eat 3,000 calories a day. Just 3k, no biggie. Oh, and no carbs :D

I understand completely. I work in a kitchen as a chef, and my temptations vary from sweet to savory. I agree with CarvedTones, if you do end up eating a treat you can make sure it fits into your budget. It'll be all the more enjoyable! :) Adding onto that, I make sure I eat a filling breakfast before going to work. Or…

CHILI!!!!!! :D

Sorry, I just have to quote this because I also have quest bars for breakfast every day lol. My favorite is the chocolate chip cookie dough!!!

For my stats, I only burn 55 calories in the 25 minutes i strength train. That's enough to cover my coffee creamer lol. But like others have said, it's not done for calorie burning. Personally I love the ache and exhaustion after a strength workout. I follow up with running, but I prioritize doing strength first.

Oh man, I absolutely love my morning time lol. I don't care what time I have to be up and be at work/school, I'll wake up early enough to get that "me time" that I crave so much. When I have work at 8 I'm up at 5-5:15 to run and strength train. My workouts never last longer than an hour. With the rest of the time I love to…

Pretty much everything I would have said! I love running for the alone time it gives me to think and the health, but any weight loss I've had was through calorie counting and mindfulness!

This is a fun thread! :D for me, my five things are: -MFP. Gotta give thanks to the site that gives me the platform to be accountable! -My gym. I strength train and run, and I love it! -Coffee. A fantastic morning plus that is my reward for after I workout. -Quest bars. I love the 20+ grams of protein I get in the morning…

I enjoy a cup of coffee, a couple dark chocolate squares, and a quest bar for breakfast, which keeps me full for at least 5-6 hours. I like the protein and the taste of most QB flavors. So all in all I eat between 250-350 calories in the morning! :)

BUMP :D

I'm not sure if you're running outdoors or on a treadmill, but listening to upbeat and/or music you like is a great help! At least, it is for me. A lot of people dislike the treadmill, however I absolutely love it. Although I will say, if I didn't have my mp3 or phone to listen to my songs, I'd probably suffer lol.

For me personally, I like to have reasonable portioned treats and fit them into my day's calories. Some days I go over, but it's balanced by the days I'm under. I have yet to experience a day where I'm a lot over. Most events I go to I pick and choose which treats are worth having.

I'm currently on my shark week and I'm having a "great" time. I usually skip working out on the first two days, but sometimes I'll do a light run if I think I can stand it. By day three, I'm back to my normal exercise routine. I'm typically not as hungry when I start my shark week, but on the days leading up to it I'm…

You can try looking up exercises to do with the free weights! Dumbbells, kettlebells, etc! :)

I wait until after I workout and enjoy my coffee as a post-workout reward lol. But before and during my workout, I prefer powerade! :D

I've noticed two outcomes: 1) I'll retain water leading up to my period and then once it starts, it returns to normal. 2) I'll retain water in the middle of period and once the bleeding lightens I'll go back to normal.

That, and when people drag their feet when they walk. GRRRRR

You can definitely gain weight from your period, in fact, for most women it's normal! I used to fret over that as well! If you search the MFP database you'll see a lot of forum posts about period weight gain and how women deal with it. During my time of month and sometimes ovulation I'll gain 1-3 pounds, but that's just me…

Waist: 25" Hips: 34" Bust: 32" 5'4" and 105-108 pounds, depending on the time of month, lol. Size US 2-4, it really depends on the brand and cut :)

Heckin sonic java chiller, the mini 10 oz size. 580 calories, I think. The day I had it was just a treat, but my god, I was better off with an ice cream cone :D
