I would be surprised if some of them are being paid to post there.

I was told by several IVF consultants that the weight gain rules for pregnancy ONLY apply to under and normal weight women. Not Overweight or Obese women. So it IS safe for an overweight or Obese woman to lose weight on an appropriate balanced (medically endorsed) diet that results in no more than 1kg weight loss per week.

Street food type stuff all the way for me.

Gained 3 kgs as Christmas and my monthly cycle coincided.

If it’s because of pcos then reducing processed carbs slightly, but upping fibre. and increasing water intake will help.

Depends on your shape. Pear shaped women often have to lose more than apple shaped women just to go down a dress size. It took a 40 pound weight loss for anyone to notice my weight loss (40 pounds was one dress size!!)

I like sardines in olive oil. I usually drain and keep the oil to use as dressing in salads.

Boiled eggs can last in the fridge for a week. Not sure why they need to be frozen?

Are you weighing food/ingrediants prior to eating? Are you eating Indian food - if so need to remember that traditional Indian meals are often laden in calories & you might be eating 1300 calories in a single meal without realising.
-
Need to allow approx 2k calories per restaurant meal. They're huge portions, fat and carb laden, and while great as an irregular treat if you have them everyday you're not going to lose.
-
It just depends on what I feel like. Sometimes I'll want a cupcake instead of a meal, as long as I don't make it a habit it's okay. (A Lola's cupcake with good quality coffee is food of the gods!)

I had carbonated iced tea once. I didn't like it because it tasted too much like mountain dew lol but it might work for you. You could probably make it yourself with a soda stream.

If you work out 3 days a week and you're always on your feet at work then you would be active.
-
If you're really overweight then you'll be able to lose eating a high number of calories up to a point. For many healthy bmi women who don't work out 1200 is often too high to lose. You can go down to 1,000 cals safely when you're shorter as a last resort if nothing works.

I got loose skin after losing 20kg. It tightened over many years. Am now losing the last 10kg and got loose skin after 3kg! Some black women don't get it in the same way though. My best friends are heavier than me, and even after losing nearly 50-70kg have no loose skin or stretch marks & we have the same routine (I'm a…

Ok so to put this into perspective, weighed myself morning of IVF referral and was respectable 74. During the appointment and with clothes I weighed 84 and was rejected because I was 'obese'. They have asked me to lose weight 'by any means possible' which is just crap really because they should have weighed me naked.

800 cals per day is the equivalent of around 8 large apples. I call bull here. You're either not weighing your food properly or you're lying.
-
My weight fluctuates so I often have to zoom out over the month. Have lost nearly 3kg over 4 weeks but you'd never be able to tell with my daily stats lol

I had that slice of cake today but still kept a weight loss deficit. Control is everything.

I'm losing on a £3 ($4) manual scale. There is absolutely no need to pay so much for a scale.

A lot of people get to the really high weights because they don't have much portion control. For them it's healthier to stick to a diet, have a day off, then get back straight on the horse. The mentality must be that one off day won't derail the end goal & no you won't stay fat if you start restricting again asap.
-
I'm approaching period and weight loss has reduced due to bloating. Just keep on restricting & you'll see a big whoosh after your period.

A fresh apricot with cottage cheese helps me to take the edge off.
-
I sometimes can't eat all of them then other times I go over, it's no big deal if you average 1200 across the week.
-
It does. It took years for my skin to tighten up so you could see the figure underneath. I had a better tighter figure before I lost and those loose skin years were awful. But I def look better now for losing it.

When I can't stop thinking about food.

I use sedentary because MFP's calorie allowance isn't enough for me as very active. So I let Fitbit work out my exercise calories instead & eat them back.

Boiled eggs, vegetables, plain chicken/fish, a tsp of oil with each meal
