Hey, I'm 5"1 and a half. I am currently on 1250 cals a day, exercising three times a week. I don't eat back my exercise calories unless I'm reallyyyyyyy hungry :-)0

How many calories you need will also depend on your weight and your activity level, not just height - but you are correct that us shorties tend to eat lower calories.
I am 5'3'', 119 lbs. my activity level is sedentary (desk job). I set my activity level on MFP to "sedentary" and add my exercise manually; I try to only eat back 50-75% of my exercise calories. I am currently goaled at 1300 calories to lose 0.5 lbs/week. On days where I go to the gym, I eat moreso around 1450-1500.
Your best bet is to calculate your TDEE.0 -
I'm 5'1 - 2 and can burn up to 3000 calories on work days but sat on sofa days 1650-18000

I'm 4'11", I am 83.8kg (a hair under 184lbs) and breastfeeding an almost 12 month old. I'm averaging 1600-1900cal a day and losing about 2kg a week (a couple of pounds). I'm not exercising at all right now because my husband has taken over my workout space with some woodworking project and I can't reach my rack! But when I do, I do Olympic lifts and also squats etc. And eat it alllll back.0

I'm 5'3" and currently 193.2 lbs (down from 201.4 lbs) with a goal weight of around 130 - 140 lbs (for now, waiting to see how I feel once I get there). I usually eat anywhere from 1200 to 1500 calories a day. I do light exercise 4 - 6 days a week (30+ minutes a day, alternating between yoga and walking), and I don't eat back exercise calories (I'm not hungry after I exercise).0

I'm 5'2" and 115 lbs. Currently, I eat between 1600-1900 calories. I'm sedentary at work but do strength training 4-5xs/wk and 2-3 30 mins of HIITa week. Like most have said, I wasn't seeing progress with calorie restriction in the 1200-1400 range. Also note, the quality of the food helped tremendously at taming cravings and keeping me satiated.0

I am a tad under 5'3" with a maintenance range of 117-123lbs. Been maintaining since November on 1750 - 1900 cal on weekdays and 2000 - 2300 cal on weekends with the occasional refeed of 3000 cal when I feel I really need it. I don't eat back exercise because average exercise amounts are already factored into my calorie goals (TDEE). I exercise 6 days a week - a variety of activities including running, cycling, swimming, strength training and yoga.0

I'm 5'2 and completely ravenous with anything less than 1500. Light exercise only.0

Hey there. I am 5'0". I started this 35 days ago and eat 1200-1400 calories a day to lose weight. I do not exercise and am pretty sedentary. I'm down 10.5lbs. The first 5lbs came off after the first week so it was probably water weight. On average I lose .5 - 2lbs a week depending on my activity level. Hope this helps you. Everyone is so different so you'll need to experiment to see what works for you. Good luck!0

If you're really overweight then you'll be able to lose eating a high number of calories up to a point. For many healthy bmi women who don't work out 1200 is often too high to lose. You can go down to 1,000 cals safely when you're shorter as a last resort if nothing works.0

I'm 5ft 2 and maintain on around 2000 calories a day. I'm lightly active , exercise every day as well as lift weights 3 x week
My goal range is 125-130lbs/ I'm 48/ UK size 8-10.
When I was losing I ate back half my exercise calories and lost 1/2lb a week. (had 25lbs to lose). Ate approx 1600-1750 calories to lose 0.5/wk.0 -
I'm 5ft and a half inch Im 22 I only started 14 days ago but I'm down around 10 pounds! I eat between 1000 and 1200 cals some days I might go over by 100 or so but I'll never eat less than 1000! I've two kids a two year old and a ten month old so I'm active enough but besides going for walks with the stroller I don't intentionally exercise! I also don't eat breakfast so I'll start eating around 1pm or so! This is my second time on MFP ... Gave up last time cause I tried to cut out all chocolate and junk etc but not this time. Now I save 200 cals for a small pack of reisens at night SW: 156, CW 147, GW 1171

Thanks a million All we can do is our best Have a beautiful day1 -
I'm 5'2, just under 135 lbs and I'm on 1800 calories plus exercise calories to lose between 1lb and 5lbs more.
Sometimes I eat all my exercise calories, sometimes only half, depending on whether I'm hungry or not.0 -
I'm 5'2" and currently on 1100 cals a day as still a few pounds to go to goal weight. I try to get in 10-15k steps a day and 2 swims a week and rarely eat back any exercise calories - I regard them as my buffer for when I may enjoy an unexpected glass of wine or a treat with my grandsons. Once I hit goal weight I'll start increasing it slightly until I find the balancing point - I think that'll be around 1350-1400.0

*sigh* 5'1" here and even at the lowest calorie setting (1200) I was only losing 1.5lbs/week. I've found it in my best interest to not eat back exercise calories because it stalls my weight; I only do a bit of lifting and yoga and have a desk job. I'm currently at a 1320 limit, but tend to eat between 1100 and 1250 for a 1lb/week loss.1

I'm 5'2", 160 lbs, and i eat 1200 + exercise and I'm sure my measuring is inaccurate.
Losing 1 lb/week average. I'm happy with this.0 -
I'm 4'11" 120lbs and I eat between 1600 and 2000 calories a day.0

I'm 5'1 and I have mine set to lose 1.5 pounds pounds per week and I have mine set for active (I work out 3-4 times a week and I walk a lot at my job) and it gives me 1,640 calories a day. Sometimes I eat back half my work out calories and sometimes I don't eat them back. Depending on what my plans are for the day and what I plan on eating0
