Plenty of accountability friends to be found on MFP - sit it out in good conscience, knowing your are 100% able to succeed without them!

Hey, as long as you have been using the same machine, progress is progress, regardless of how accurate it is! Congrats on great results! Celebrate - and get the haters out of your life

Agree with @kmack510 - great way to phrase your goal! Feel free to add or message me for support along the way

^Tuna & beans are good suggestions.. Also, lean ground beef, prawns/scampi etc... foodnetwork.co.uk seems to have some interesting recipies if you search for "lean protein" (although I have not tried any of them myself...) Good luck!

Exactly! Consistency (and honesty) works pretty well

Oh another thing... Although you've probably heard it before... Even if you feel like everyones looking and judging you at a gym - they're more than likely not. Most people have more than enough focusing on themselves and maybe their workout buddy.. In the case they do notice you, you can be pretty sure they're thinking…

I'm addicted to running, and especially obstacle course racing (like the spartan races, although that series still haven't come to Norway). And I like pretty much all workouts, except the aerobic, zumba classes and the like.. Guess I'm workout addict rather than a running addict really... I live in a rural town with lot of…

First thing first.. Welcome to MFP! Exercise is not that difficult - walking is definitely a good place to start. You might want to consider some strength exercises as well, to ensure you are not loosing muscle mass. (Muscle weight = good, fat weight = bad). I think you will find a combination of cardio and strength will…

Click on a name once, then twice, then "add friend" Adding both of you - lots of tips and tricks to share, so please ask

Welcome! From your post it seems you have a plan. Stick to it, the results will come! On the bike vs threadmill, I think you've made a good choice. A threadmill workout (running especially) will be a much higher impact than biking. Once you feel up to it, you can start walking outdoors - I usually clear my head…

I would go with the dietitian, at least for starters. He/she has seen you in person, and give advise specifically for you, whereas MFP are based on more generic formulas, and even if it is effective in many cases, it is not tailored in the same manner. If you start feeling miserable/off on the diet suggestion, go back and…

Welcome Debra, and congrats on the decision to change your lifestyle. My few cents worth for you would be; 1. Weight loss comes from calorie deficit, no harder, no simpler than that. 2. Log your food as accurate as you are able to, use a scale, especially in the beginning. 3. You are right to reduce on the fast and…

don't know about fun... but feel free to add.

Repeat ^ - congrats and feel free to add!

Feel free to add me

Don't drink it, because I don't really like it.

Can't wait for the Spartans to come to Norway too....

short and simplified... 1. The only thing that actually works is calorie deficit. As long as there is no medical concerns to take into consideration, you can pretty much eat whatever.... (Not a completely true story after the initial weight loss) Just make sure to stay below the maintenance level. 2. Activity - stand while…

Added you as a friend

Added you (and anyone can add me too)! Small changes over time are a given success - much more so than changing your entire world at a time.. It sounds like you are setting yourself up to win, keep the direction, and you'll soon be dancing all night :)

1.Improve my 10k time by at least 7 minutes 2.Compete in the elite class for at least 1 OCR 3. Achieve the BH (shortly put a kind of mental test with an obedience prog) & UHP (endurance, running next to a bike) titles with my puppy.. Although this one doesn't do much for my fitness, it does take some prioritizing, which is…

Write a list! Why do you want to loose the weight... what will success mean to you? visualization works, imagine how you will feel, look like, what you will do etc when you succeed... Best way to start; baby steps. One step at a time.. 1. log all food... 2. Adjust where you see potential.. Don't restrict too much, take…

Hey, don't worry - those 2.5 # are mainly water weight due to the carbs, if you go back to your diet and give it a day or two, you'll normalize! Don't quit, don't stop... just push on and you'll succeed.
-
Good luck! I don't do neither Keto or IF (I just don't care for diets, so I need to stick to something that works for me), but I know many people take that road to success! Hope it works well for you  I love calisthenics... So much fun!!! Human flag next?

Welcome, and congratulation on making the decision to become a healthier you  First off, I'd like to say that I agree with @jennifer_417 - too much too soon... I'll break it down a little; You've set a fairly aggressive goal - 75#/32weeks = 2.34 #/week ... The recommendation would be to target somewhere between 1 &…
