I do low carb/keto and it worked wonders on me. You might want to read this article which is not about low carb but rather "Death of a calorie" : https://www.1843magazine.com/features/death-of-the-calorie People are more fanatical about the calorie topic just a heads up.

Even dietitians have a hard time calculating exact calories so at most you are going to get a rough estimate. But then you need to mix it up a little bit because your body appears to be in homeostasis. You can try fasting which has worked for many who reached a stall. Not real long fasting but like 24 hour or 36 hour…

try https://www.ketogenicforums.com/ to read all about keto from people who are doing it. And like others said it may not work for you but you wont know until you try.

I work out in a fasted state. I normally do 16h water fast and just before I have my first meal I do my workouts. Its been working out well for me.
-
I do keto and i no longer adhere to calorie limit i eat to satiety. And its working well for me

I am doing low carb and who ever told you that is very ignorant. High carb low fat diet works as well as the many other diets. If you are experiencing diabetes than there is an advantage of keto since it has some positive results with people who tried it. Other than that there is no basis for what you were told.

There is an app called carb manager that is geared towards keto.

I have seen so many play with facts and studies to promote themselves or their cause. Thats why i only listen to credible medical doctors and professors. It eliminates all the noise. Ex. The woo people and other controlling groups

Yes 18:6 and workout fasted feels great

I started keto a month ago. I lost 12lbs bringing my total loss to 28lbs. I am hardly hungry and feel great. I dont limit my calories but do track them and hardly go over mfp goal. A matter of fact i actually have a hard time eating up calories because im satiated all the time.

I was eating cake and cold stone a lot during a 2 month period and put on 15lbs as a result making me 70lbs overweight. It doesnt take much of lousy eating to get up there.

dont worry about ketosis, if you want to do keto just start keto and if you want to fast just skip breakfast and eat in an 8 hour window. fasting 3 days will be tough on you and is not necessary. Later on when you become more fat adapted(it takes a while like months later you could venture on to longer fasts. There is no…

I have been averaging around 60/day. Mostly from veg. and some fruit and nuts. I intermittent fast 16/8 and My ketones during the morning is between 1 and 2 mmol. I am fairly active and strength train 4 days a week. I guess that depletes the carbs fairly quickly.
-
For me i tried but revert to low carb because im not giving up vegtables and some low glycemic fruits. I average around 60 grams carbs. I am always in ketosis according to daily ketone readings anyways.

You are doing good with respects to weight loss but make sure you measure waist hip chest arm and leg to see the difference in size. Also exercise is not required to lose weight but it shapes your body up and gives you strength. It takes a while for keto adaptation for some people too.
-
You need protein on your off days just as much as your workout days
-
It is mostly nutrition 95% and exercise 5% for weightloss.

Why do people woo? such negative people. I havent started running again but with keto it might be handy to have some bone broth to fuel electrolytes depletion and give you salt

Something to consider https://youtu.be/XY1jtPqvoCk thats why its always good to consult a doctor.
-
A. Suppress hunger to meals only B. Consider diet plans that are satiating

I was using cocunut oil and butter in my coffee while fasting but couldnt stand the taste of coconut so i bought mct oil. Much much better with hardly any flavor
-
Something that will help you with this is to look up the biggest loser study. Doing keto its so hard for me to take in too much calories because i am satiated. I do try to stick to mfp goal though.

You can easily get bumped out of ketosis and then when you get back on you experience the keto flu. There is a remedy to help you get back fast and would be taking exogenous ketones. It might be a good idea to keep some of those supplements handy
-
Would it be a problem if you did both? 3 days full body strength and 2 days cardio

There is a group under the groups tab that has a lot of info

It is calories in and out but also insulin resistance. Many people who consume a lot of sugars become insulin resistant so their body stores excess sugars as fat because the break down in their metabolism. While others who have a good response to insulin in their metabolism can get away with with processed sugar and foods.…

I got some knee pain when i first started dead lifting, its because i increased the weight too rapidly in my progression. It eventually healed after a few weeks. I would go see a doctor in your case though because you have knee pain with no weight

I also am concerned with electrolytes and havent found a frugal way of doing it. amazon has this https://www.amazon.com/Cellucor-Recovery-Essential-Branched-Supplement/dp/B01MU0QOCA/ref=pd_ybh_a_7?_encoding=UTF8&refRID=G7HK1NDB8Z1HCRCZ9TDJ&th=1 but it is so expensive in my opinion

What counting calories has taught me so far, I lost touch with proper portions sizes to a point when I calculate calories I need to cut back a lot of food off my plate or else I will mess up my daily calorie intake. For example, just had some of our family favorite pizza, its 424 calories a slice before mfp I easily would…
