I'd like to be adopted. I'm based in the UK and mainly vegetarian ( my partner does most of the cooking and he only cooks vegetarian food but I do eat some fish). I'm back here, heavier than ever. I really got into swimming but frayed cartledge made me stop just before Christmas because I was waiting for a physiotherapist…

I have done slimming world, it's confusing at first but very simple when you get the hang of it. What are you confused about?

Thank you so much. The blog is ace and I can't wait to try the recipes. I'm in the UK and I don't know what lavash is (for the pizza recipe which is the answer to my prayers)? Is it easy to make, cos I don;t think I could buy it here?

Just this.....To keep going, .. This is the long haul, lose some, stick, go on holiday, gain a bit, lose some more. Don't sweat if you go over, make up for it the next day. Learn to count your calories. Eat a few less calories and do a bit more exercise. Don't believe the hype.

It's not easy, family life, budgets and time all get in the way. I've learned to try to count calories all the time - if I'm out and I go over, I try to make up the following day. One thing I've noticed about my "naturally" slim friends is that they do this subconsciously, if they eat heavy for one meal they compensate…

Any weight bearing exercise will burn more cals than a seated one, it makes you work harder, so will increase your heart rate more.

"Thus, it's not just a matter of will power or mind over matter; the brain is in control and sends out signals to eat carbohydrates. According to Wurtman's clinical studies, if the carbohydrate craver eats protein instead, he or she will become grumpy, irritable or restless. " [/quote] Lol surely this was written with me…

I think there is something MFP can do here to help. If I press the button to complete the day's entry at 1000 calories it gives a much lower projected weight in 5 weeks eg "If every day was like today you'd weigh 209 pounds". When I put the rest of my calories in - up to 1700 - the projected weight is much higher. This…

Hia I'm Ellen and I live in Preston, I'm 45. I'm a mum to a gorgeous 8 year old girl and currently working in a call centre. I've been doing this since putting on half a stone over the summer (it was a drop in the ocean but enough to kick start some changes!) Lost a little weight so far, still loads to go. I just joined a…

I've taken that bit off so it never says one way or the other. My diary is open to friends. I don't think I know more than anyone else on here, but I know that if I consistently eat below my calorie target I'm headachy, cold and feel unwell. One person when I 1st started was consistently under calories and ate an apple and…
