I'm 5'11 and my goal is ~165#. But, goals are fluid and can always change :) I haven't been below 180# for about 6 years, so I can't really picture myself like that anymore. I mostly just want to feel sexy in and out of my clothes again!

I'm a dietitian, and for healthy people we recommend 0.8-1.0 g/kg body weight. So, divide your weight by 2.2 and that's about how many gm you want to aim for. Obviously, when dieting some people prefer to adjust their macros, but that's a good baseline.

Another binge drinker here -- moderation is not my strong point in any facet of my life. I'm abstaining for awhile and being honest with myself and recording ALL alcohol calories. Glad to find friends in a similar boat!!

I used to work at VS -- and we no longer had "quotas" to sell but we did try to measure as many people as we can - so do NOT feel obligated to buy something! (and yes, some of us do actually know how to do it correctly, but haters gon hate!)

It is very rare, but there is such a thing as water intoxication. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_intoxication If you start feeling dizzy, lightheaded (despite drinking lots of water) or have altered mental status - then I'd cut back on the water.

Bananas are high in potassium -- which can prevent cramping. Also, they are a good source of carbohydrate for energy before a workout!

The only thing i have read in regards to a ketogenic diet and neurologic conditions is that it is effective for people with intractible epilepsy but is only recommended if nothing else (medications, lifestlye changes i.e. sleep patterns, alcohol use etc.) has worked.
