I'm back. Had some success when I first started, then went through a challenging period and gained it all back plus some. Decided it was time to do something for me, so I got myself a puppy and started getting back into my old interests. Then realised...HOLY CRAP...I'm neither as small nor as fit as i once was. So have…

To the OP, HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

Yes, there is. And I'm not exactly sure why. Cept that I keep hearing about when Victoria 'stole' the Grand Prix. I learnt quickly that if anyone asks you what footy team you support a very good stock answer was, "Anyone but Collingwood". (Sorry Collingwood supporters!! but you do what you have to to survive SA Footy…

Round my place you eat what I cook, or you get something else. I won't 'guess' what food you want to eat, you have to tell me. If you don't tell me, I get what I usually get, cook what I want to cook and you can suit yourself. Moaning is not tolerated (and I'm not shy about shutting the moaning down either), because as far…

I'm boring as. Weight loss is just a side benefit to better health for me. I'm not looking at things like I'm on a diet. I'm looking at it from the perspective of....is this a healthy choice for me. Ofcourse I need to lose weight and a lot of it! But I know that if I focussed on that and that alone, I'm doomed to fail. So…

Hi Ruby! Just over a month ago I restarted after 10mths of undoing everything I had achieved before. Each day of that ten months I hated myself, and then ate all the foods I shouldn't because what was the point? I was fat and gaining anyway, what was one more junkfood meal? BUT.... I woke up oneday and decided I needed to…

I have healthy snacks on hand and have found out through trial and error what will help stave off the hungry bugs. I try to eat whole foods, and avoid anything that comes in a packet. A couple of times, I've even made myself eat lunch when I was only 'sort of' hungry. Why? Well, because I go from 'sort of' hungry to…

Nice Going!! I 'feel' like I'm so close, yet so far away. This time last year I managed to crack the 100, until a bit of emotional upheaval and then on she went again. I started back again about a month or so ago, and heading back in the right direction. Doing this better and feeling much better, this time around. Congrats…

March 28th (same day as my Dad) Well, obviously not the VERY same day...that would be wildly unlikely and somehow smash a few notions of time and space......

Another from Adelaide, although I'm originally from Victoria (please don't hate me!) ;)

<Dory, the Staffy x Cairn Terrier...we think. She's a recycled dog. One day I will have another Rottweiler though, it'd be nice to have a dog that's not quite so stubborn. LOL

How cool is this! Although I always rate mine by comparing bags of dog food. :blushing: Especially as it is something I can readily get access to, and pick up regularly. Pick the dog person.

I'm not even looking at myself as being on a diet, I've still had the odd day where I've gone "Stuff it...I'm having a bag of M&M's" (peanut ofcourse). And hence the stall in weight loss. However, when I decided I was going to do something about my weight I made a deal with myself...to not deprive myself of…

My physio said it's a good workout and you do feel it in the legs quite a bit. I don't know how long it takes, you might be able to check it online? My physio is pretty fit...so I'm guessing it would be a bit of a challenge.

I've got 34kg to lose, although I have already lost about 11kg. I've stalled at this level for a couple of months now, but then I've been a bit slack with checking and haven't been walking. At least I haven't gained!!!

Adelaide for the last 11yrs. :)

10 Things I like: 1. Food. Eating as much of anything I like to the point of "Ooooooohhhh Man, this tastes sooooooo good", and then licking the plate clean. 2. Not feeling like I need to give a stuff about how I look. 3. Wearing loose fitting clothing and not worrying that it might make me look fat. 4. The sense of feeling…

If I'm feeling down, I'll take the dog for a walk...she has such a happy wag, and the smile on her face always perks me up. I'll crochet to stop the boredom, plus I usually get so into what I'm doing that I have to be reminded to eat. Phone a Friend!! I also keep a journal, where I can do all my moaning, complaining and…

I'm not going by any weight chart. And definately not BMI!!! On the BMI chart at my 'ideal' BMI I would be skeletal. I haven't weighed that little since I was 15...many...many...years ago. My daughters BMI tells her she is overweight bordering on obese. If you were to see her...this would clearly not be the case. As it is,…

Start with a workable and achieveable goal. I tend to be an all or nothing kind of girl, so in the past when exercising I have put myself off by doing too much and then get totally lazy. This time around I set myself a simple goal. I don't have the funds for a gym membership, nor the time to go to one. I decided instead…

I do this too...except I will try to keep logging it to no more than twice a week.
-
Hmmmm....I think I need to be eating more.
-
And what about when you are just not that hungry...yet at the end of the day your calorie count is rather low. Should you eat, even though you aren't hungry?

And on a lighter note.............. This Thread is making me Thirsty!

I am definately round, all around. Just started my journey to marginally less apple shapedness. I had to laugh about taking off pants without having to undo them. This is sooooooo me. Finding pants that fit has been a challenge for sure.
