Aha! Thank you all so much! Seriously. <3

What is TDEE-15%?

Thank you all for your help! I've been trying to figure all this out on my own, but there's so much conflicting information.

Sometimes I forget to log in dinner and don't go back to the previous day to add it in.

Thanks! I think I'd do better mentally at 1750 cals. I plan on starting working out soon, but I wanted to get a good handle on my diet before I started. Trying to take it 1 step at a time so I don't get overwhelmed and give up.

I'm 173 at 5'6". Do you need any other info?

I make egg drop soup that's around 200 cals. Basically, boil chicken broth, whisk eggs and/or egg whites together and slowly pour into the broth. It's filling because of all the liquid and it's hot (hot food always makes me feel more satisfied). Also, 8 oz of baked boneless skinless chicken breast is 200 calories. If you…

How do I know how much to lift for each exercise? I only have dumbbells up to 15 lbs... Is squatting with 30 lbs going to strengthen my butt that much? I see a lot of the lifters lift 100+ lbs for squats. What weight did they start at? How do you know when to increase?

My husband and I would like to have another baby. But I know that, after being pregnant and/or breastfeeding for the past almost 5 years (just weaned my daughter, my second kiddo, a few months ago) my body needs to be healthier to sustain a new life. My nutrients have been depleted and I need to get that straightened out.…

Chicken, turkey, fish, eggs, frozen veggies in the steam bags, carrots, string cheese, coconut oil, smoothies (I use a banana, blueberries, spinach and a very small amount of juice diluted with water), almonds, peanuts, cashews

I started by cutting out soda. That was my big hurdle. Soda free for over a month, then I planned my meal plan to a "T", then implemented it.
-
I forgot in my OP, I do have a TBS of coconut oil every day, too.

I'm not really sure how I could make my diet more nutrient dense than it already is. Suggestions?

I decided to eat. One of my habits is to not eat all day and then eat one huge meal. And now I'm fat. So I think something is off with whatever tells my brain that I'm hungry. Started eating and then I felt hungry.

I get my protein from eggs, fish, cheese (cheese sticks are convenient and I have kids, so we always have them), chicken, almonds...
-
Kelp noodles. Just... no. Don't do it.

I cook a whole bunch of chicken at once, weigh it out into baggies and then I don't have to actually cook for a few days. Saves time, no excuses for not eating what is already cooked in the fridge, and I can take it with me where ever I go.

I'm a SAHM, too. I'd like to lose 50 lbs total, but my first goal is 15 lbs down, and I've lost 7.

That looks amazing!

"Fantastic!" ;)

I found a ginger peach green tea at Hyvee that I LOVE! Have you tried white tea? I like the vanilla black tea with a little bit of milk, but I've read the milk bonds to some of the good stuff in tea and then you can't absorb it....

Cheers to that! :drinker: I'm tired of seeing all of the super crazy diets and people not eating enough. You're not going to be able to do that forever, and when you stop you're going to gain all of that weight back, if not more, OR you're going to end up in the hospital. Be reasonable. You were probably way over eating…

I'm slowly trying to cut the processed junk out. I still eat it, but not nearly as much as I used to and I've noticed a big difference in how I feel. I just had a baby, so my lack of weight loss on here doesn't reflect my efforts. But, I'm already back down to my pre-pregnancy weight after only 2 1/2 months later (although…

The reason people lose weight on this diet is because they hardly eat. You don't need expensive hormone injections to lose weight. There is no "magic cure" for being fat. If there were, everyone would be skinny.
-
I eat when I'm hungry... Sometimes I snack a lot, sometimes I eat bigger, fewer meals. I think listening to your body is best.
-
Do you have a farmer's market in your town? They tend to be cheaper and fresher. And you could potentially haggle about prices...

Oh! I forgot we tried a blood orange. When we peeled that thing I was SOOO scared to try it. It just looked so wrong, but it tasted just like an orange... except it was purplish/red weirdness... haha

Work out and drink lots of water to counter all that sodium!
