  • Hi, I recently started reading about the Daniel plan and am working towards applying it in my own life. Before I was focusing on either exercise, diet and my faith was separate. Now I've come to understand how it is all interconnected. I'm looking forward to getting back on track not only with my physical health but in my…

  • I'm 6'2" and my goal is 1 lb a week to loose. Current weight 215. Goal 180-190. With that MFP's calculator has helped me reach a goal of 1990 cal's a day. I usually try to shoot for 1800. Some days are easier than others depending on my work schedule :). As for how many calories to eat before exercising I don't think…
  • Ranae, Just a thought but is there possible some health issues? I'm an RN and in the field we some times see people who do take great care of themselves but it is actually a health issue that is causing the fat gain. I would suggest going and talking with your doctor and may be getting some blood work done to see if there…

  • My tall friends consisted of my sisters while growing up. I did have other great friends who are practically sisters but they were at the tallest 5'6". Once in college I've had the opportunity to connect with other Tall women which has been awesome!
  • watch www.JCpenny.com. They have sales with jeans that fit talls and + sizes. I've found mine there.
  • I think running can be a tall person thing. I agree with the other ladies though that it may be the treadmill is possibly to short for your stride? Running on a treadmill can take some getting use to as well. I prefer out side but it's cooling off to much to where I do need to use the treadmill at the gym. I hope you can…
  • I think I actually measure up to 6' 2 1/2 inches. At one point I was told 6'3" and my coaches always tried to put me at 6'4" which I know was not true since I had 2 sisters that are those heights and I am shorter when I stand next to them. My husband is also 6'2" so it will beintersting to see the height of our children.…
  • Recently at my job one of the doctors who had not met me yet but saw me walking down the hall way stated "Who let the jolly green giant loose". He didn't say it to my face but I've heard about it plenty since being there. Another time I was in Wal-Mart & I had a mom bring her daughter up behind me and say "that is what an…
  • Sadly the trainter at the gym I went to was not very informative. It was may be 15-20 min of showing me some things but then wanted me to spend 150$ for more "indepth" one on one training. I just paied for the entire membership! :( So I've been doing research and going back to my notes of when I did trainng years ago and…
  • This is going to sound silly but what is NSV?
  • Size 13. For working out or just regular I have found www. newbalanceshop.com has my size. I usually shop clearance and that works well. Payless is hit or miss online. I've walked into a store and had a clerk ask me my size and then inform me they don't have that so I should just leave. :S Very frustraiting. Dress shoes…
  • Height: 6'2" CW: 197 GW: 185 Weight allowance: I would like to stay between 175-185. In Highschool I got down to 155 and that really messed with my systems. Not a good idea. I'm also hoping to get pregnant in the next couple of years so I feel staying between 175-185 is reasonable and healthy.
  • I'm in the same boat as a 3rd shift night nurse. One thing that has helped me is plan my snacks around fruit and veggies. This helps so I get enough of those servings and they are not carbs/sugars. I usually plan on one meal half way through my shift. I try to limit my coffee but it is an essential. For every cup of coffee…

  • I would encourage you to sign up with a personal trainer at the gym. They are great in figuring out what plan works best for you and helping you set doable goals. :) Good job on joining! That's the first big step.
  • Not sure if I will ever weigh less than my husband due to having a larger frame than he has and a way slower metabolism. Yet I'm working towards being healthy and he's been supportive every step of the way. : ) I do hope you are able to reach your goal though :)
  • I would have to say each Dr. has brought his own flare to the show. I started watching with Ecklstein and he was there for one season. Tennet did a great job & Smith is a bit crazy for my taste but I've enjoyed him as well. As for the companions they've all made me laugh, cry and go nuts in their own ways :) I know I am…
