Congrats on the success so far Myra! Feel free to add me, I love having active friends!

I just wear a heart rate monitor that tracks how many calories I burn rather than relying on the estimates here. That way it's much more accurate.

Wow, 75 lbs down, that's amazing @Aubrey_Montgomery! Congrats on #2 as well!

Feel free to add me Cinda! I'm on a mission to lose about 30 lbs myself, so we have similar goals!

Down about 14 lbs in a month and feeling great! Still have a ways to go to hit my goal, but I'm loving my 30-40 minute workouts and portion system :)

Are you looking for more of a cardio based program or more of a resistance based program? Any back/hip issues with doing body weight squats or lunges?

Feel free to add me! I have about 30 lbs to lose, so it's a very similar goal. I'm trying to lose it before our first baby comes. Starting out strong but I love sharing ideas with friends!

Hi Tracey! I think it's great you're trying other options before surgery! Happy to provide support as I'm looking to shed some weight too!
-
Sounds like you are motivated to make a change, that's great! I always think overall health is a better motivator than just looks. Good luck as you get going!

Thanks for the great advice again! We both workout at home but do it at different times, so hopefully that will still work. But I'm sure more coordination will be needed. That is an awesome idea about making your own baby food, I definitely want to do that!

Thanks for the perspective and that's an awesome idea on making some freezer meals! I hadn't thought of that and will definitely do it. Being sleep deprived is the one thing I am expecting to happen for sure!

Thank you! I'm sure making those changes were tough at first but it sounds like they paid off! And I totally agree, being healthy for your family is an amazing gift :)

That's an awesome goal! I'm starting at 236 and looking to get down to about 205, so we have very similar goals. Feel free to add me!

Totally understand emotional eating! But that's great that you're starting the journey now :) Any specific plans for eating better and controlling the blood sugar?
-
That's a great start!! What is your plan to lose the weight?

I think you've got to find something you enjoy and can stick with. Find support from family, friends, people here, etc. But ultimately, you're going to have to want to change more than stay the same. You'll have to kick old habits, which won't be easy, but it will be worth it. It's a journey with ups and downs, but if you…

I like to stay pretty active here and log everything, feel free to add me!

I have about 15 to lose, but still love having motivated friends! If you're cool with that feel free to add me :)

That's a great goal! What are you planning to do to lose the 40 lbs?
-
I enjoyed the Gamma round because it did involve a lot more weight training. I think doing Gamma combined with the proper nutrition should give you more definition.

If you're feeling sharp pain, then definitely stop. If it continues I would recommend checking with your doctor.

I started my fitness journey with Insanity and lost 17 lbs! It is incredibly hard, but worth it!
-
I think that really depends on what kind of workouts you enjoy, what your current fitness level is and what you're trying to achieve. I've done both and personally like P90X3 the best, but that's just because I like more resistance based routines.
-
I think your nutrition is the key to losing those inches. I did the first month of Insanity without following the meal plan and didn't see any results. Then in month 2 I followed the plan and logged everything and ended up losing 17 lbs. So yep, get the nutrition in check and you will see results!

If you feel like it's challenging enough still, I would run through all the phases again. I think it helps when you are changing your workouts on a regular basis. For the weights, I used mostly in the 10-20 lb range.
