  • I use GC Control from Melaleuca and also Wheyabolic 60 from GNC. They are GREAT. My husband is SUPER picky and he really likes the Melaleuca one.
  • I am listening to my body and only doing what I can. Like Shaun T says, form and technique is more important than speed, so that is what I am focusing on. Thanks for your in put!
  • I have JUST started this, but I am very out of shape. I am starting this at 230 lbs, 5'5 and 31 years old. I am not doing the complete challenge as they have it mapped out because I feel I will fail at that right now. I am a stay at home mom of 3 VERY BUSY children, and homeschool as well. So, contrary to what some may…
  • I am currently 248.6 - I started at 281. I have nearly 100 lbs to go. I don't think you can ever have too much support, so feel free to add me! :-)
  • That is just amazing! Congrats!
  • I am also a SAHM. I have an 8 year old daughter, 2 year old son and an almost 1 year old son. We live in a smaller town in Western North Carolina and I am not from here. Therefore, I do not know too many people. I would love to make new friends, even if only online. :-)
  • You can add me as well. :-)
  • What an inspiration! Great job. I hope to be posting my photo just like this Feb of next year with similar results! :-)
  • I was just having the same problem! Thanks for the timing and the question! :flowerforyou:
  • I had a similar surgery from an ectopic pregnancy that ruptured. My stomach has not gone back to normal and that was in 2000. Granted, I could try harder to get it there, but I think it will always be noticable. However, given the circumstances, I guess they were more concerned with saving my life then the possible…
  • I used to live in La Mesa. I miss it a lot! I worked for the La Mesa Police Dept as an undercover decoy. I now live in NC, but I do miss east county.
  • I too am kinda new (been here 1 month today) and am also from NC. Western NC, but I used to live on the coast. Good luck and we are here if you need us!
  • If you do eat something, try to make it high protein. Like a protein shake or something like that. Especially after weight training. It helps repair the muscles faster leaving oyu less sore afterwards.
  • Considering I have been sick most of this pat week, I will take my 2.5 lb weight loss for the week! Jan 2nd: 244 Jan 9th: 237.5 Jan 16th: 237.5 Jan 23rd: 235.0 Total loss: 9 I will edit my message when I get home from work to add my measurements.
  • I am from California and grew up having avocados at my fingertips! Living in North Carolina now I have to PAY for them, and they are rather pricey too. I don't usually buy them because they are so pricey, but my fiance knows how much I love them and picks one or two up for me every now and then. And since I am the only one…
  • Breakfast: half avocado - fresh 2 eggs scrambled w/ .25 cup shredded cheese. Lunch: Betty Crocker- Hamburger Helper - Cheeseburger Mac- Wholesome Classics , 0.5 cup Dinner: Progresso - Chicken Noodle Soup, 1 cup (at 2 different times this evening. Had to work late) Snacks: (throughout day) Tangerines, (mandarin oranges) -…
  • Try not to beat yourself up. Especially if you are still kinda new to this. It is a learning process. I personally haven't gone over, but I have been so careful to plan ahead, and if I know I will be out all day and eating outside of the home, I plan that ahead of time too. What and where I will eat. It helps A LOT. Don't…
  • If you are doing the crunched on a hard surface try adding a mat or some sort of padding underneath you. Also, you should support your head with your hands, just don't pull your upper body up. Let the abs do the work. You also may need to try some different abdominal exercises to help strengthen those muscles and work…
  • I am interested in purchasing an HRM but I don't know much about them now. I am interested in purchasing one that is good and accurate but not to terribly expensive. Any suggestions on ones you use and how much they cost. Also please tell me any that you have used that you don't like so I know NOT to consider those. Thanks…
  • Thanks Anna. Last night my fiance came home and made a great chicken noodle soup. It really made me feel a lot better. Especially for my throat. It was good, and there are leftovers that I plan of having for today's dinner.
  • I am so sick! Yesterday was even worse. I was trying to log everything but I just couldn't seem to really care. I just wanted to eat little amounts of anything that would settle my stomach. I came close to throwing up a few times, but managed to keep everything down. Today I went back and logged what I missed, and learned…
  • I would like a nice HRM. I have a bowflex that I work out on, but I really don't know how many calories I burn during my workout.
  • I actually don't have a playlist. I listen to Pop2K on XM radio. I can't stand commercials, so this works great. And we have a surround sound system set up through the house, so I can hear it everywhere. Now, if I start going to a gym on my night shifts for my lunch break, then I guess I will have to get a playlist going.
  • Well, good job for doing as much as you did! I am sure it was a challenge, but if you keep it up, soon you will find out that you can do a few extra minute each time, and before you know it, you will be doing the whole workout and feeling GREAT afterward! As for the muscle aches and pains, here are a few suggestions. Try…
  • Well, it is great food, but yes, really large portions. My mother and I would go there and share a plate. When my (now ex) husband and I would go, we would order, but plan on taking at LEAST HALF home each for meals the next day. But it is delicious food!!!
  • I appreciate the input. I count it towards my water, but I am so below my calories goal for the day (1650) that I don't bother counting it. I usually only drink 1 to 2 packets a day. Max of 10 calories. I also drink the lipton green tea w/ mandarin orange. Oh man it is good!!! Thanks again guys!
  • Ok...so I can't drink water in large amounts. For some reason it makes my stomach flip and out it comes. It is awful! And not pretty! Oh, and if I have an empty stomach, then I am nausous for HOURS. So, I add crystal light to my water. Not 100% of the time. I drink plain water if I am eating a meal, but in between meals I…
  • OMG I love Claim Jumpers! They don't have any out here, but when I lived in San Diego we went there often. You might be able to find something on calorieking.com
  • Well, that is a good point. I actually haven't had my dot (that's what we call it in my house) since October. I have PCOS and as a result I sometimes go a while without haveing one. Strange too, because after I had my daughter I have had one every 40-45 days. It was a long cycle, but at least it was regular. But, not any…
