Starting easy or I know I'll fall off the wagon, 1400 cal/week, aiming for 3x weekly exercise. Used to go 1 hour…

Will do! No matter how many times we fall off, the important thing is we keep trying!

Thanks! Indeed-the community is a great tool. I tried the LoseIt app and found I missed the MFP forums, so here I am. I'll add you!

During toddler naps or before she's up. Lately I've been needing to sleep in and find it easier to squeeze in a 20-30 minute video (my favorite is Blogilates on Youtube!) later during nappy time. :]

Because it's 115 after sunrise here currently. Before sunrise it gets down to, oh, 100. Also, bugs. I'll probably move my workouts back outside starting in October.

Cut a pita pocket in half. Line each with hummus. Stuff with spinach along with anything else you have on hand (I usually do cucumber and tomato, sometimes a couple slices of turkey). Yummmm

:[ You poor thing. If I had the money I'd buy you a buncha groceries-going to the store when I was pregnant was rough

Love this!

I'm jelly of your turtles. :]
-
Oh my gosh that's awful!!! I don't buy too many things in bulk-I'm always afraid we won't finish them in time.
-
I LOVE this!!

Wow, this makes a LOT Of sense suddenly. I went vegan for a couple months last year (it didn't last for various reasons) and when I started eating regular foods again, I found lactose made me feel really nauseas. I can eat a little bit, but any more than 0.5-1 serving a day and I am in a lot of pain. I've switched to…

Sooo true. I'm starting to make a mental list of condiment subsitutes: Mayo (sammiches)-hummus or mustard Ketchup-salsa (also, salsa is great on potatoes instead of sour cream and butter) Sweet potato-no butter and brown sugar, just cinnamon and nutmeg if available Most things-pepper. Trying to reduce my salt intake.
-
Oil+Vinegar. I'm discovering a LOT of places use a cheaper oil than olive and it tastes gross and isn't good for you. Peanut butter. Trying to reduce the amount of PB I use-1 tbsp instead of 2. I'm also learning suggested serving doesn't HAVE to be my serving. I know, seems obvious, but I'm easily influenced apparently.

Ugh I hate that. I've gotten back into habit of packing a healthy meal for work, and everyone always stares at me like I'm trying to make them look bad or something. Then, without fail, they bring in something unhealthy to share the next day. People feel uncomfortable by those trying to better themselves. It makes you see…

Nothing breaks my heart more than a child that is limited in experiences because their parents couldn't get on a healthy diet in the household. My daughter has inspired me to find healthier foods. If someone grows up with healthy foods, they won't have such a hard time breaking them later. I grew up with a VERY…

I believe it. A LOT of people have told me their doctor diagnosed them as gluten intolerant and those that havent (including myself) lose weight incredibly fast when cutting out gluten. Too bad glutens are cheap and are delicious....*sigh*...

There's a lot of free videos online, I recently found blogilates.com. She has a lot of awesome kick-your-butt videos. I mean seriously, five minutes into one, I was breathing pretty heavily. x.x

OMG girl you look so cute! Amazing change-you look so much younger!

Thank you! I definitely am hungrier than I was pre-Mirena (I've had it for two years now!) and I honestly think that might be the only thing. I used to eat 1100-1200 cal a day and not feel hungry, but now it's SO much harder. I just need to focus better. >:}
