Exercising Drunk?
This is probably a dumb question, but I just had a semi-strong drink, a little tipsy, and I'm getting the "drunk munchies". I'm only going to allow this if I work out because I'm already over my limit by 48. Is it bad to exercise tipsy/drunk? I honestly get a bit more energy this way...

Fell off the wagon, ready to get back on!
Hello MFP. I found myself, for the first time, really sticking to the plan here a year ago and went from about 172 to 154 in about a month and a half. I felt great, in control, and so confident. Then we began our cross-country move and I got distracted and stressed out and boom, back to 172. SO quickly it happens, right?…

FINALLY! A low calorie mug brownie (101 cal)
I LOVE mug brownies...unfortuantely, most recipes cost around 350 cal/serving. After MUCH googling, I found this delicious recipe: http://www.yummly.com/recipe/Microwave-Brownie-In-A-Mug-_single-Serving_-Chow 2 vegetable oil (tbs) 2 water (tbs) 1 drop vanilla extract 1 dash salt 1 pinch instant coffee (powder optional) 3…

Just found a great free yoga video site
Sorry if this was posted before, but just in case...if you're broke as I am and can't afford to go to yoga as much as you like, check out this database of free yoga videos: http://www.doyogawithme.com/ I've only done one class on there myself, but it was quite enjoyable and kicked my butt (spent more time in child's pose…

I can't keep my sugar intake low!
I'm a self-proclaimed chocoholic, and taking the advice I've found on the internet, I've phased it out slowly and replaced my sweet tooth with fruit and homemade fruit+veggie juice. I'm finding, however, due to the fruit, my sugar intake is still about double what MFP reccommends, and I'm almost positive sugar has been the…

Easy delicious apple dip
I usually just eat fruit plain but I wanted something a little more filling today. Mix 1/2 cup greek yogurt (I used Oikos vanilla 0% fat) with 1/2 cup creamy or crunchy peanut butter and 1/8th cup of milk (I used Almond Breeze original but use whatever you like). Deeeeelliiiiccciiioooouuuusss

Tae Bo?
I did tae bo way back when it was on vhs, and I remember loving it a lot-you're never bored, you keep moving, it's not that long a workout, and you don't have to buy any stupid equipment that takes up space. I haven't heard anything about this series in year, and when I went to the site I saw Billy Blanks has a LOT of new…

What's your grocery/other food bill like?
For myself, toddler daughter, and SO we spend around $100 week-that includes toiletries/household needs as well. I can't tell if this is high or not. We eat out once a week to every other week, spending around $30-50 dollars.

Sugar free gluten free challenge
I'm going to try a week of sugar free gluten free. I plan to change completely, but I like to start myself off with a one week challenge. ;) Would anyone like to join me?

Weight really is just a number, huh?
I've come to notice that when people have eaten healthy and worked out to go from, idk, say 200 to 160, it looks AMAZING rather than someone starting at 160 (having gained weight via fatty foods/low energy). Am I crazy or is this true?

What's your exercise schedule?
I'm finally starting to develop mine. The past two years I've just been walking with light yoga daily, three weeks ago I started the Couch to 5K running program (LOVE IT!) and a week ago I've started pilates with the help of youtuber Blogilates (look her up she has SO many free workouts that are just kickass!) So right now…

How are YOU beating the heat, runners?
I recently got pretty addicted to running since starting C25k three weeks ago. HOWEVER, it regularly reaches over 100 in this part of the country (Oklahoma). I've started getting up at 6 am, which I have to say, is a miracle for me to get used to. How are you all beating the heat?

What's your favorite raw food blog?
I'm not looking to go full raw-food diet, but I would like to throw in a couple recipes here and there. Where's a good blog to find delicious healthy things? ;D

Weight loss with Mirena/other hormonal IUD?
I've had a hard time losing weight, but I refuse to give up my IUD. I got pregnant with my daughter (best accident ever, can I say now...) with a birth control pill, and I love the convenience of my IUD. HOWEVER. Yes, the weight loss has been painfully slow (I lost weight much easier before...but it's also hard to say if…

any women using protein powder?
I bought some protein powder today hoping it'll help my diet deficits (Im not a big fan of meat or beans) and help curb my appetite a bit. I plan on having it in place of breakfast mixed with half a banana and almond milk. Have any of you used protein powder with a weight loss goal with success or is it a gimmick? Should I…

Spaghetti Squash in place of spaghetti YUMM!
Seriously, this is a recipe that'll stick in our household! I just cut a spaghetti squash in half, stuck it in the oven for an hour at 375, scooped it out, topped with spaghetti sauce and grilled chicken breast. So easy and SOOO yummy! My 2 year old daughter just kept shoveling away like she does with regular pasta and…

Confused about calculating points
I just started weight watchers today...or rather, re-started. I did it in high school to go from 135 to 115 quite succesfully, and it was the ONLY thing that ever worked, so I'm back to it. Only this time I don't have the money to pay for membership, so I'm going off info I can find off the internet and memory. I…

Bloat since started exercising regularly?
I know it's from the exercise because this happened when I was more athletic in high school during sport seasons...I always bloat the day after a good workout? I feel like I'm drinking enough water, I don't know how to get it down. It's mostly my stomache and my face. REALLY bad in my face...it's so embarrassing to the…

Smoothie replacement for banana?
I make smoothies a lot during the summer with frozen berries, 1/2 cup of light soymilk, and a banana. I've been trying to stay under my sugar intake better (or, you know, at all) and I realized my banana is adding TWELVE grams of sugar per smoothie! I mainly just use it as a thickener, what's an alternative to thicken it…

What to do with grapes?
I really am a fruitaholic lately...but no matter how hard I try, I canNOT eat through a bag of grapes before they go bad. I'm the only one in the house that'll eat them, but I wonder if I cook/bake with them if they would get eaten sooner. :] Any ideas?

MFP>SparkPeople
I just had to get that out. I was on SparkPeople on and off for about a year and a half, and I honestly just could NOT get into the community. They're so rude and clique-ish...which is odd, considering how much larger they are. Plus they PUSH PRODUCTS like none other. MFP has an AMAZING community, and that's what keeps me…

Weekly binge, still losing?
This is probably going to seem like a really dumb/fat person question. I wind up binging once a week (usually late night ramen with my boyfriend...sodium nucleur bomb, I know) by around 600 calories. It makes me feel like crap, I proclaim not to do it....six days later, bam, another binge. I'm still losing (around 1-2…

Post your microwave recipes here!
I love microwaving food. Saves time and dishes :D Just made this: Egg muffin: Spray a mug with cooking spray (I used a no-cal butter spray) scramble one egg, add whatever other ingredients you want (I added spinach and fat free cheese) and scramble. Microwave for 1 minute. Also, I love low fat beanie weanies: 1 small can…

Calorie counting stresses me out
My therapist even noticed that calorie counting stresses me out. I think it's because my mom put so much pressure on me to stay dangerously low when I was younger (I was staying below 1000 consecutively). I've been on MFP around 55 days, I quit around 4 days ago and went off the deep end but I do NOT want to give up. Does…

1-week no sweets challenge
I'm up 2 whole freaking pounds the last few weeks, so mad, but I think I know the culprit. I'm a fan of short-term challenges...anyone want to join me for a 1-week no sweets challenge? This means no processed sweets-e.g., no candy, no cake, etc....fruits are a-ok.

"You can't have that! You're on a Diet!" or
*looks at what I'm eating* "Huh. Thought you were trying to lose weight." Everything in moderation! Lifestyle change! NOT A DIET!!! WHEN will people understand what that all means? I work with mostly women (hospital job) and I'm SO SICK of my food being judged constantly. Everytime I eat a piece of chocolate or a bit of…

I'm glad I got fat-temporarily
I'm not sure if this is exactly the right place, but I can say I'm glad I gained weight (though I want to lose it, now). I really learned a lot. I was raised by two very shallow parents that put a LOT of pressure into what I look like, especially my weight. From the time I was 12 I very much believed I was fat (though I…

My boyfriend is missing
I know this is completely off-topic, but this is the one community I feel I can talk to. My boyfriend suffers from depression and is a recovering alcoholic. He's been doing pretty good, then randomly, yesterday (the 14th) he became VERY down. Talking about suicide, etc. I am so scared. We made plans to go to a date…
