Hats off and congratulations to you!!! I am so glad you got in this while you were still physically able to! Continue with what you are doing and definitely push yourself a little more than before and do listen to your body!

it takes a while for your body to get over the shock of working out. you will feel like you can't do it and one day you will realize your chest does not hurt so much and you are not out of breath as easy. hang in there and when it gets easy go harder and longer.

I gain weight evenly all over so I hope to get a pair this winter. I must say I enjoy the compliments I get...........especially from guys :) .

I am starting to see good results in my hip, thigh and butt area. I am power walking in my neighborhood and about 20 minutes of it is uphill. I walk for at least an hour four days a week. I also take kick boxing and Zumba at least two days a week. I have been doing this for about a month now and I am definitely seeing a…

Thanks so much for this post. I hope on the elliptical a few times a week because of the reasons you stated others do. I do not see the results I do from power walking, walking inclines, kickboxing or zumba. This explains it!! The stepmill does wear me out and I guess that is why I avoid it. I will do 20 minutes of it…

Count me in. I have to say the hair is an issue though. I got braids and took 15 pounds off between October and December. I took them out three weeks ago and have cut my workouts in half! I am trying to figure something out. I know I can eat a lot less to compensate for the lack of exercise but it is easier for me to burn…

how the heck are you burning so many calories a day. I wish I could get there. I was excited with my 1100 yesterday.

Good work. keep it up you will be so proud. Wow, 20 pounds since November. At this rate you may not even have to have the surgery.

Hi Kati, we are the same age and I know how you feel!! So far fitness pal really helps if you stick with it. It has been about a month and a half for me and I have lost 10 pounds so far. Stick with it.

I have done it and it is pretty tough. Try Kendall Hogan's "Fatburning Cardio Attack" or Chris Freytag's "10 pound extreme Kickbox" and maybe even Billy Blanks Jr "Burn it up dance cardio" in full length. Amy Dixon's 20 minute kickbox is good too just do it twice. After a while you will be ready for Jillian.

Hello and welcome.. It has been a little over a week for me and I love this site. I believe you will too. When you join the gym you should be able to get at least one free consultation in which they tell you which machines and classes are good for what you want to accomplish.
