I have been walking along a long stretch of beach- 6km each way most days since this all started. I have not been much of a logger as i am still getting the hang of the whole mfp thing- but I have been on it. With the exception of one month when i was not well I have walked 30-50km per week. And since Oct when I joined…

The history of the world, particularly Israel's religious history, if not our own personal histories evidence fairly convincingly that as soon as there is a rule there comes the desire to break it. As for me I have done heaps of don't eat diets. Even the dont eat carbs diets. They work for a while but they become painful…

I have had weight fluctuations most of my life, but this time am doing it slowly and reeducating myself too. (on here I lost 5kg, but the year before I joined I lost 16kg), so it IS encouraging to hear you say that by doing that way maintenance becomes natural enough. thank you
-
I'll say- 18kg in 2 months. Wow. What is your method?
-
You have lost the most from your waist and upper body. You have done well. Keep it up. Make this whole thing a hobby rather than a chore. Lots of love to.
-
thanks

If only I had developed such a disorder at an earlier stage of life - lol- my problem has been the opposite- eating whatever until one day i went hay, maybe all the food is having a bad effect on my life. Now i enjoy correcting this and developing an interest in healthy eating. Possibly if i looked like the person who…

You know the costs and you have done your homework- you are prepared to have a revision after kids. Go for it. Now my comment on waiting till after surgery is this- I have huge breasts- i have done since puberty- even when I was at my ideal weight. At a few rare times this has seemed like a good thing- but mostly it has…

Well- your teeth dont have much to do with anything you use to run- so i guess as soon as you are no longer groggy go for it. I mean if you were having knee surgery, or having a knife taken to your ab muscles or something that would be different.

Yeah, I did heavy biking today for 30 min and the machine at the gym said i had burned 200 cal, but mfp said that that was like 380 or something- so i re described my exercise as moderate biking for 20 mins- and that recorded 208cal- which is about right.
-
I'll be interested in the results of u question.
-
when you exercise you get exercise cal to burn off- if you also say u burn off more in your daily life then you will spend the calories twice that you onely earnt once.
-
how do you add it up and follow all the posts? who is doing that? good on you by the way?

Flax seeds are awesome- google it or their other name linseed. They really help with joint health- and all the things fish oil help with. And good for, um, regularity too.

Yes I do work out, though a knee cartilage injury has slowed me down. Im a lot stronger and fitter, and have lost 15kg overall this year- but just getting impatient and concerned about the belly.
-
ok- kinda feels a bit dorkish- but better to be a dork with a good knee than a dude with a dud knee i guess.
-
Thank you- I will take up the cycling more- and get a hiking stick. I'm not really into swimming (funny kinda aussie I know), so i'll save that as a last resort.
-
How long have you been body building and doing the low carb thing for? And how long has it taken you to lose your 17kg?
-
Hello People What a great idea for a group. Right lets keep each other on task on this one! Saturday I am going on a hike so this week will be easy.
-
You lost 175lb in 18months- you are an absolute champ- do not be discouraged by anything body image related- you are a true success story in that area.

I think honestly recording what you do and eat on here will really help. And looking to see that little tracker move on your profile will help keep you motivated. Just learning about what is in foods can help- i mean there are heaps of foods that lose there appeal when you know just how fattening they are and how little…
