My best 5K was 22:30 in mid-May. I completed a half marathon in April at about 8:47/mile. I haven't run in a month or more so I'm scared to even know what I'm clockin' these days! YIKES!!

Diet soda. I have given it up but I come crawling back! I figure I don't drink coffee, tea, or ANY alcohol. JUST WATER and SODA! Don't just me! :grumble:

Taken a month ago.

I've done Insanity twice and really lost a lot of weight with the program. Since then, I've done Les Mills Pump and Les Mills Combat. I'm starting a third round of Insanity on Monday, April 22nd. Good luck!

Definitely look for Body Glide. I got it at ****'s Sporting Goods. It's been a life saver on my long runs.

I'm up at 4:30 am daily and usually get a run in or workout in my basement with my DVD's. Sometimes I run AND do a DVD. It just helps me start my day off right. It's also great to get it out of the way so no matter what craziness your day might bring, your workout is done. Taking care of my temple is one of my top…

I hear you man! I love to run but it gets cold here in NJ in the winter. I'm sure it's nothing like Michigan though. I spend my winters in my basement putting in work with my at-home workout programs. It's good to get into a 60 day or 90 day program because you have a goal to finish it and a timeline to do it in. I only do…

Welcome! Feel free to add me!

Thanks ladies! Let me know if I can be of any help to you! I love working out at home and it's what's worked for me with my crazy schedule! NO EXCUSES!!

That's a tough one. I like the sentimental value of my ring. It was the EXACT ring that was put on my finger on that super important day a little over two years ago. Call me a sap. I'm down 67 lbs. and had to get my ring resized this past summer. I think I need to get it resized again soon actually. Thankfully, mine is…

Thanks everyone! And cbeutler, there's room for everyone!! :glasses:

I dig it! I already told my wife let's enjoy Thankgiving and leftovers on Friday and we're back on our game on Saturday! We will work out on Thursday and Friday though. We just won't be logging or counting calories. Just enjoying food, family, and fun!

I started LMP yesterdat and I LOVE IT so far!! Can't wait to do it some more!

I have around 7 or 8 more pounds to go! ONEDERLAND CAN'T COME QUICK ENOUGH! I've been waiting for this moment. It's so close I can taste it!!

I'm on week 2 day 4 BUT this is my second time doing Insanity. I earned the T-shirt the first time I did it and I love wearing it while doing this round. It reminds that I have done it and can do it again. Insanity is certainly tough physically but I think the toughest part for me is the mental part - having the discipline…

GOOD LUCK! I'm starting my second round of it today as well. I saw great results the first time. It's hard but rewarding!

I, and most people on here, use a heart rate monitor to get a more accurate calorie count. There is no Insanity exercises in the database I believe. See if you can invest in an HRM. It's taken my work outs and logging to the next level. It was a GREAT investment!! I have a Polar FT-4 and my wife and I love it!
-
Good luck to everyone starting it or already in the process of doing it!! Keep me posted! I remember what I went through the first time I did it a couple months ago. I wonder what wonders round 2 will bring!!
-
I agree! Since starting to lose weight, I've decided to invest in myself more. I got braces in January. I will have them for 12-18 months and I'm getting LASIK tomorrow. I'm also down about 41 pounds and still losing! I can't wait to reach all my goals! Here's to our best selves!!
-
I'm getting LASIK tomorrow. I'm not THAT nervous, but my Dr. asked if I wanted to go with the laser instead of the blade (microkeratome) procedure for $900 more! I am going to get the standard microkeratome procedure for financial reasons. Anyone haver any issue with the blade procedure? From the research I've done, it's…

Born and raised in Trenton (Mercer County), went to Rutgers - New Brunswick (Middlesex County), lived in Bayonne for a little while (Hudson County), now living in Mount Holly (Burlington County). SHEESH - been everywhere!

Boricua HERE! I hardly eat Puerto Rican food though (although I love it). I save it for family dinners, get-togethers, and special occasions!

I JUST finished Insanity. During it, I hated it at times! It kicked my *kitten*! But now looking back, it was GREAT! Got GREAT results and can't wait to start another round of it. Taking a month break in between. I'm focusing on running now that it's spring and I'm also doing Jillian Michael's Ripped in 30 because I need…

Thanks for all the input guys. I might just do P90X. I hate the long workouts but I have access to the DVD's for free and I like that it's structured with a schedule/calendar and all. I feel like I might get bored of 90 days of it though...

I JUST started Insanity this morning as well with the Fit Test. I do it a 5 AM and this is my first time doing it. I felt like I was going to throw up and was drenched in sweat. Trying to prove to myself that I can do this but SHEESH! It's like the hardest thing I've EVER done! Let's see what Day 2 brings. Looks like I'm…
