  • Hi, I'm 28 and due with my first on the 24th. Thankfully my MS is finally over. :)
  • I have family who I put on AIP and used these two websites, http://autoimmune-paleo.com/ and http://www.thepaleomom.com/ they are very helpful for AIP . Also if you just want recipes then there is this site for paleo recipes (combines recipes from all over the web) but you can select the AIP option http://stalkerville.net.…
  • Breakfast of Chinese style egg custard, with beef, chili sesame and garlic butter topped with coriander.
  • Glad to hear I'm not the only one. You guys have some good ideas.
  • Oh god that sounds hard. I obviously don't know your situation and how far you went with the auto immune diet. But I would highly recommend trying AIP again once he has not had a flare up for a while, but make sure you are keeping a comprehensive food diary and are noting every change or response. I had a friend that had…
  • First question why is your son on a high cal liquid diet? I'm hoping there's a medical reason behind it and it's not just for no reason. And even then the only time in my opinion that a high cal liquid diet is super healthy is when your a baby (breast milk) It sounds like he's on a specific plan... Yes? I have a tonne of…
  • ^^ I  Paleo Pete .
  • I got on MPF after getting chubby whilst living in Europe. I was freaking out about going home to NZ for xmas to summer/bikini weather and being fat. So I found MFP and counted calories like an idiot. Completely miserable the whole time. I had friended a German girl on here and she had a freaking awesome body and was super…
  • Preprimal I use to drink a lot on the weekends like a lot, a lot. When I started paleo/primal back in 2012 I tried to continue this pattern. But I came to the realisation that I spent so much time, effort and money trying to eat healthy that it seemed ridiculous to keep drinking. Once I removed all the foods that caused me…
  • I saved that recipe on my pinterest and thought it sounds to good to be true. Guess I have to try it now :)
  • I'm primal. I have raw/organic dairy and I eat potatoes. 90% of what I eat is organic. My biggest thing is eating organic and staying gluten free/mostly grain free and legume free...rice flour is the only grain I have in the form of gluten free bread etc that I occasionally let creep in (only had real rice twice in the…
  • I'm not autoimmune but my family member was for a while trying to deal with intense diverticulitis flare ups. For recipes try http://stalkerville.net/ and click the sub heading autoimmune, as it complies paleo autoimmune recipes from around the web. For info there's http://www.thepaleomom.com/ and…

  • Totally agree. Sounds like you have a lot of stress and little sleep. I think working on those things plus making sure you are eating enough is vital.
  • Hi Sophia I'm from NZ but sadly living in Auz (I miss home). I've been primal since 2012. Best thing I ever did. I what city/town are you in? There's a few paleo friendly places in Auckland. Feel free to add me :)
  • Hi feel free to add me, I have a family member with fibro and basically all the other fun things you have as well as plenty more health problems who is primal. I also use primal/paleo to help my health I had chronic back and neck issues for 11 years prior to going paleo. I have been primal/paleo since 2012. I also have…
  • Sorry was talking to the OP. She didn't mention any reason why she was asking about supplements. So I stated "why do you think you need them ...blah blah blah". If you know you need a supplement by all means take it!. But since I spent five year of my life selling vitamins and supplements and all the rest, I know that…
  • I take nothing. I try (try being the operative word) to get all my nutrients from my food. But now that I don't have access to fresh sustain-ably caught wild fish I think I need to take some kind of fish oil. The question is why do you think you need a supplement? Is there something lacking from your diet, are you under…
  • Mine is going well on day 5 also. I have got a healing crisis going on with my skin...happens when I've been bad and go back to strict paleo. But I feel better and my sugar cravings have gone ...so far :)
  • I buy/drink raw milk, which I then occasionally use to make whey. Lacto fermenting my veggies was just easier and cheaper than other methods I read about. I ferment my veggies because I want the good bacteria/nutrients and it taste good. I've only tired ginger carrots and beetroot so far. Both worked out fine. Beetroot was…
  • ...I didn't see this. Doing strict paleo for 30 days (not exactly a whole 30 cos i still want butter and i have a few potatoes left to eat) but minus paleo junk/sweets, chocolate and honey. Gotta get my sugar binging and cravings under control. I tried starting yesterday but ended up falling face first into 85% chocolate…
  • My dog and cat were "paleo" before I was. I feed them raw food K9/Feline Natural or B.A.R.F. If my dog eats grains she gets sooo sick. My vet guilt tripped me into feeding her grains as a pup and her health went down hill. Gas so bad it could clear a room, bloating so bad her skin on her tummy was shinny it was stretched…
  • Shuki_cotren don't stress it too much. Yes the lack of info on bone broth and a few other paleo things is super annoying (I love researching too) but don't let it take away from all the health improvements you have had. I think you should take a step back and look at the bigger picture, amazing weight lose and keeping your…
  • Mark Sisson discussed this recently on his site. He said that yes there is low amounts of calcium if you look at recent studies. But the studies done so far have not cooked or soak the bones for the required 24 hours (most were 9 hours I think). He goes on to say that bone broth is still an amazing source of gelatin and…
  • I reckon you should send in your story Laurie!! And yes amazing to hear how that woman changed her life.
  • Haha Australia stole the "lots of sheep" crown from us a few years back...we are all about cows now.
  • Don't go cold turkey....ween yourself off of you antidepressant by decreasing the dose (talk to your doctor about the right dose and how long before each decrease). Don't forget you might feel good cos you're on them in the first place...and the withdrawals are no picnic. And I'm in!!! My sugar demon is back so no added…
  • If you told me two years ago that I would give up drinking I would have laughed in your face. I never really drank during the week but every weekend I would get on it. Binge drinking where I'm from is the norm. I use to think how can anyone have any fun without a drink... Fastfoward... on the 9th of jan 2013 after going…
  • Thanks....I'll go back to cramming them in my face :)
