OP- I find myself in your situation most days. Like others have said, you can switch your low calorie snacks for slightly higher calorie ones. You can also make sure to eat back your exercise calories. I know it's tempting to not eat the full recommended amount, and continue to see that number go down on the scale. I'm…

Ah, if that's the case, I apologize.

How is this comment supposed to help her? This is a support community. There is a difference between giving it to her real, and being down right rude.

Wow, great site! That's exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much!

Thank you for the information. I have done the calculations over and over and my number is 1726. A 500 calorie deficit to lose leaves me with 1226. This is lower than my calories allotment give to me here at MFP. That's my BMR 1255.45 calculated from the above formula) times my lifestyle (lightly active at 1.375). Why are…

So if my BMR is 1341 I should take away a 500 deficit to lose?

I love to add a few banana peppers, or pepperoncini (sp?) peppers into it YUM!

I feel your pain. I too would like to know how to prevent my ribs from showing through my shirt while my thighs rub and jiggle 0_o

As a parent with small children you should have your level set to lightly active. Because, well, you are. Even with no exercise. Chasing after kids and cleaning a house everyday is not sedintary. No, you shouldn't log your everyday cleaning, especially since MFP tends to over exaggerate calorie expendures. Log things that…

I KNOW THIS MAY SOUND CONCEITED, BUT IT IS THE HONEST TRUTH. I am not an egotistical brat, I actually have very low self esteem. With that said.......... I honestly understand what you are saying OP. Especially if you have spent many years socially awkward and suffering from low self esteem from the weight. It's not…

I plan ahead. I eat much lighter 2 days prior. I will also put in an extra hard workout that week. Light (clear) liquor has less calories than dark. I'm a lightweight though, so I never have more than 4 drinks.

I had something similiar happen to me. I was always a tad overweight. I didn't change my eating or exercise habits and gained 40 lbs. in 3 months. I went to the doctor thinking my thyroid must be out of whack. I have had 4 kids in 6 years and was thinking that my metabolism must have slowed as well. Well, after many tests,…

I just didn't care what I ate. I never cared about calories and the more deep fried, the better. I was in the mind set of "I'm going to die anyways, might as well die happy". Well, being that overweight I realized I wasn't happy at all.

Hello!! My name is Crystal and I am 28. I am a military wife and a mother of 4, and a full time student. My husband is currently serving in Afghanistan. I am 5'4" 128 lbs, and I hope to get down to 115, or a very tone 125. I am just trying to balance it all more efficiently, and found MFP to be the most organized route. I…

I just did this about 2 weeks ago. The first 4 days were hard since I was craving everything in sight. After that, I will see candy etc. and not even care about it. Although I have only lost about 2 lbs. since then, I feel much lighter, and am no longer having those afternoon crashes.

I am 28, mother off 4 (all under 10 yrs. old), AND my husband is halfway through a 6 month deployment. So yes, I do EVERY single thing. We live in Japan so my options are limited. I have lost 27 lbs. since he left in September. I decided I was NOT going to be that big when he came home. I workout every single day for a…
