  • I love Blogilates! I feel sore instantly after doing her workouts. She is a great motivator and the time flies by because she talks through the whole thing which keeps your mind off what you are doing. She recently released a full hour DVD that I have been wanting to try.
  • Running outside is so much easier for me. I have completed 3 half marathons and 1 full marathon in less than a year, but I cannot run for more than 3 miles on a treadmill without wanting to die. Outside, the time flies by and I don't even notice how far/long I've been running. I am also faster outside than on a treadmill.
  • I just completed the Goofy Challenge in Disney. That's a half marathon on Saturday and a full marathon on Sunday. The only one I have planned from here is the ING Hartford Marathon in October. I will have to see what comes up between now and then.
  • I ran the Princess Half last year, such a fun race! This year I am doing the Disney Half marathon in January.
  • Lol, they are highly addictive! I don't know about you, but ever since the Princess Half, I can't hear Stronger by Kelly Clarkson without thinking about the race.

  • Sorry!! I never saw this until now! Anyway, the race was awesome!! SO much fun. Disney knows how to put on a good show. I do not live there, I actually live in CT, but I vacation in Disney all the time. They have characters located throughout the course and you can stop and take pics along the way. A lot of people don't…
  • Finished my first half yesterday. official time was 2hours 25 minutes and 8 seconds. The race was awesome. Disney sure knows how to put on a good show! The entertainment on the course is a great distraction.
  • My first half is on 18 days!!! I'll let you know how I did when it's over. I'm getting so anxious!
  • If I am only running 1 mile, I can do it in about 9 minutes. However, if I am going farther than a mile, I don't want to tire out so I pace myself. I am currently training for a half marathon and am averaging 10 minute miles.
  • just got back from a 7.5 mile run. wanted to do a little more but my knee was getting sore and didn't want to push it.
  • Thanks ktweldon3! I'm in CT so my training is mostly done on the dreadmill right now. My longest run so far was 9 miles. I did get 7.5 miles in today outside, since it was unseasonably warm. The race is in Disney so I am so looking forward to nice temps! 4 weeks from today!!
  • CT here as well!
  • My first in next month! Eek!! It's getting close. Good Luck!
  • Hi! I'm currently in training for my first half marathon that is only 5 weeks away! It's so exciting, I can't wait. Good luck in your training!
  • another vote for runkeeper here!
  • wow that is confusing. I'm training for a half marathon right now and have yet to drop a single pound, though. So I guess there is some truth to not being able to lose during training.
  • Pop Pilates on youtube. The instructor, Cassey Ho was named one of You Tubes next top trainers. She is very motivating. She has tons of You tube videos targeting different areas ,like arms, legs, abs, etc.
  • McDonald's no longer sells 'apple dippers'. They have reduced the size of the package and omitted the caramel sauce and now call them 'apple slices'. They are now on the dollar menu for 2 packs for a dollar instead of $1 a pack. They also include them in the happy meals with a smaller serving of fries for the kids. At…
  • I completely agree. Do you ever read the Disboards? There is a huge thread on the princess half over there.
  • My first ever half marathon is February 26th in Disney! Less than 2 months to go!
  • My first half is this years Disney Princess Half too!
  • If you finish the whole program by March 24th, then there is still 6 weeks until your race. Once you finish the 12th week, I would count back 6 weeks and start from there and do those over again until your race. make sense?
  • I have done the shred numerous times because of all of the rave reviews and results everyone gets from and I never get any results. I keep thinking, maybe this time it will work, but it never does. I measure and my thighs actually get bigger each time! They are not small to begin with so this always makes me so mad. I will…
  • In the beginning of the Ripped in 30 DVD Jillian says to take 1 day off per week, that your body needs that day of rest. I am still doing the 30 day shred right now, but will be starting Ripped as soon as I'm done.
  • Don't Stop believing- Journey It's My Life - Bonjovi I'm on the Edge- Lady gaga Stronger- Britney Spears ( don't laugh! it's a good song!)
  • I'm running the Disney Princess Half in February! It will be first half marathon and I'm so excited!! I've been slowly building up my mileage ever week. Right now my long run on Sunday mornings is at 7 miles. I try to run about 3 miles on a couple weeknights.
  • Forgive me is this already been mentioned but I have not read through all the responses. I use the runkeeper app on my phone to track my exact pace and distance of my runs. I don't start the activity until I actually start running and stop it before I start my cooldown. That way I know the exact distance I run. It even…
  • Greek yogurt.....I don't get what people love about it. I've tried it about 4 times now thinking I must be missing something, but, nope, can't stand it.
