I'm happy I'm not the only person who noticed this. I just avoid those threads in general because I probably wouldn't give people a honest rate. It's just superficial.

I drink lots of black tea. It seems to make me more energized and doesn't make me crash. As weird as it sounds, intense cardio usually helps me feel better, even though at first it's a bit painful. Also, pilates and yoga seem to help. I usually take two Advil or whatever before I start.

I know adrenaline is, but the fight or flight response that gets stimulated when you don't eat can cause mood swings which aren't the best. I was speaking from personal experience and things I've heard from people who have tried fasting. I didn't say that that always happens.

1. When I see the people around me getting thinner than me. It just pisses me off. 2. Fights with my Mom. 3. Reading about EDs/having to talk about mine 4. When my Mom randomly brings stuff up and shows me things I would do when I was much more sick. 5. My natural need to feel like I have to control everything.

I really don't recommend fasting. Lowering your calorie intake, yes. Not eating, no. Most people after fasting eat a lot more food than he/sh usually would because they're so hungry. Not eating can cause you to get moody because of the adrenaline your body releases when you don't eat so fasting is mostly bad all around. I…

The same thing happened to me. When I first started changing my eating habits, I became more and more aware of the things I'm putting in my body. Now, everyone in my house eats really healthy and about 95% of the food we eat is organic. Also, we plant our own vegetables and herbs.

I used to be in LOVE with guacamole Doritos when I was younger. I can never find them anymore. :(

I think you could still drink coffee. Although it can dehydrate you, it has lots of antioxidants and it has more positive aspects than negative. I would cut down to one cup a day though. Try switching to tea if you can though, it makes you feel way different than coffee does, in my opinion.

I love English, Scottish, Irish, and Welsh accents. Russian accents are my favorite though, hands down. I'm not really a big fan of New England accents though, despite having bit of one myself.

I understand what you're going through- I've been diagnosed with depression myself. Although you said you don't believe in medication, I highly encourage you to try it. I'm on Prozac and my outlook on everything has just been so much brighter and happier. My tolerance towards everything has gone up and I've been a lot more…

It didn't help me at all except on the very rare occasion. Everyone's different though, so it could help you perhaps.

I don't have PCOS, but if I work out really hard my stomach bloats out a lot.

Please, please, please eat more calories. At least 1200. You're going to end up going through starvation mode like I did. Fiber One bars aren't the healthiest, I would replace them with Kashi if you still want a bar. As for the sushi, it can be healthy when it has brown rice, lean fish, and lots of protein. Try adding more…

If it's not an everyday thing, no. Eating 1000 a couple of days won't hurt you. Eating below 1200 calories for extended periods of time will.

I adore coffee, especially from Starbucks. I'd seriously die without that place.

mm, those look lovely.

I'm sorry you're feeling so discouraged. As absurd as it sounds, you might need to up your caloric intake. If you're eating too little, it's definitely go to slow your metabolism. Also, try to eat every 2-3 hours. Everyone has plateaus while losing weight and it can take a long time to break it. Don't give up. Nothing is…

Congratulations on the weight loss! I have to disagree with this though. I have gone through starvation mode and I know it isn't just a myth.

Almonds, cashews, pistachios, and peanuts are my favorites.

It's a lot easier to shove 3500 calories worth of food in your mouth to gain a pound versus cut down your intake and workout. Don't worry, if you eat well today, I'm sure you'll be fine.

Anything with protein, fruit, and vegetables work for me. I like eggs, protein powder, peanut butter, dark leafy greens, peppers, and any sort of fruit. Make sure you drink enough water also. That's what keeps me full.

Those look phenomenal.

The three words I'd choose to describe it are hell on earth. It's like there is another part of me, my eating disorder constantly telling me what to do. I hate it.
-
I want to be free; I don't want to obsess over food and calories and exercise . For just one day, I would like to be able to make decisions without having meltdowns, panic attacks, depression afterwards, etc. I don't want to be a prisoner anymore.

I've had one since I was 9 years old, and officially diagnosed in November.

I personally prefer Silk soy milk. I've tried almond milk and it tasted like liquid peanut butter to me. I like peanut butter, but the fact that it was liquid was putrid, in my opinion.

You could be gaining muscle. Make sure you're getting enough calories also. Huge deficits are pointless and will cause your body to go into starvation. Everyone has plateaus in their weight loss journey, but you just have to work hard to get over them. Being healthy is never pointless.

I hate when people don't have the decency to say thank you and you're welcome. It's so rude.

The same things happened to me. My normally very thick hair is now thin and brittle, my nails break so easily, my skin is so dry and is very pale, and my body is heals at a very slow pace. Besides the physical symptoms, the mental ones are just as hard. I'm trying my hardest to recover but it can be extremely difficult.…

Maybe bump your activity level to active instead of sedentary? 1000 is far too little; you'll put your body into starvation mode which completely wrecks havoc on weight loss. Make sure to get at least 1200 a day.
