  • that is possibly the funniest thing I have heard all year!! My incident 30mins of my workout spent with my trousers on inside out (label poking out the bag and go-faster stripes on the inside and clear seams on the outside) was informed by a male a good way into the work out then tried to style it out nicely by soaking…
  • yes big mistake - so much more painfall HYE re-gifted an unwanted present?
  • Awww if I was that way inclined I would say make-out But since I am not I will have to say pass You are very pretty though :-)
  • I wear a regular bra and then wear a high impact sports bra over the top I have a good handful up top and they do not move at all for running etc Just found that the sports bra on its own was never enough and I want to keep my assets as valuable as I can!
  • Nice one Cindy :)
  • Haha this has turned into an entertaining thread. Feeling better now. Have turned up with 2 left trainers before but obviously did abandon work out that time (wouldnt want to run round in circles on the treadmill!)
  • This thought did go Through my head! Lol. I also damaged ligaments in my foot after coming out of a yoga class once and thought had I not been exercising it would never have happened!
  • I think you need to watch the Friends episode where Phoebe and Rachael go running together. Phoebe runs like a kit, flat out and limbs flailing about. Rachael is embarrassed at first and then secretly copies her but ends up running into the horse of a mounted policeman lol as far as crazy things I have done - I consider…
  • Try to relax for the last few weeks but keep as healthy and active as you would normally The better you feel the better you will look regardless of if any numbers change on the scale Before my wedding I stayed away from takeaways and highly processed foods (I get water retention in the face from these and get what I call…
  • Well I had a bad weekend with BBQs and family down and have a 'slightly too tight' dress to wear on Friday for my Brother-in-Laws wedding! Eeek totally agree about what squiressara said about what you watch on tv affecting the speed. This is why I like treadmills as they set the pace. If I am watching something cringey on…
  • Looks like most of us are either beginners or just getting back into the swing of things Hope this will help to motivate us all. Its great that the boost to just get started motivates you for going to the gym more etc. Good idea about treating yourself to new music for the gym - I am a sucker for watching tv at the gym!…
  • Doh - degree money well spent (undergraduate and Ph.D!) Thank you :-)
  • anyone...? Feeling lonely lol
  • I have turned this into a group if anyone wants to join...
  • How about just starting it as a Thursday Weigh-in club on the motivation and support message boards If it gains in popularity then we can start up a group?
  • Erm, not sure. I am quite new to using MFP (despite joining years ago!) A group will require monitoring right? I can set up a group or just put on a weekly post in fitness and support for people to add to? What do you reckon? Also a catchier name than what I have said would be cool lol!
  • Brill, thank you
  • It's so great to see people of similar heights and weights all showing success. I thought I would share mine too although it is on ongoing battle still for me - not reached goal weight but at least going in the right direction. Was 12stone (168lbs) at my heaviest (probably about 10years ago now. I have very gradually lost…
  • AMAZING!!! Thank you all Big sloppy wet kisses to all who have replied!!! xxx
  • normally I would not be so bothered but with the dress goal looming in less than 2wks I want to really try to keep on track as much as I can. I am getting quite good at ordering what I want but not stuffing myself full and just eating some of it - but can be easily swayed by other people wanting starters and/or puddings…
  • cheers guys - I will enjoy whatever I order but did not want to totally blow it. I am at a wedding in 2weeeks time and have a dress I currently might need shoe-horning into! Thanks for the nutritional info link - I was looking for something like this myself and could not find it looks like it might be Chicken New Yorker…
  • This is exactly what I do, you really don't miss the extra bread at all
  • loving this Would you rather be a fast jogger or a slow runner lol also, I though I read somewhere that running was when both feet were off the ground at the same time during the gait. not sure if that is true I do a 10min mile and have no idea if I am a runner or a jogger so I tend to tell my husband that I am off out for…
  • Mix hummous with 0% fat greek yogurt and it makes it smoother and creamier and it goes a lot further. I find straight up hummus portions is not really big enough for all the crudités I have with it!

  • Great idea about get up anyway. I really like that. I am uo so may as well exercise is A fantastic approach. Thank you Clocky sounds very cute lol.
  • not to mention that my gym is soooo busy in the evenings and i cannot get parked (if people suggest walking i cant, its a good few miles away on a motorway) but i do on the occasion go for a run in the evenings but that is weather dependent (i am a bit goldilocks with running, not too hot not too cold lol)
  • I just cant do evenings -I a am normally much more motivated for mornings. I find work outs in the evenings very sluggish, I am more likely to give up and I often get stiches from having eaten in the day (even if it is a few hours later that i am at the gym). not to mention my whole evening has then gone and i have no rest…
  • I guess a mind and body transplant would just make me a different person altogether :-P
  • So this morning I managed to drag my carcass out of bed refusing to think about it and just doing it - smiling at myself thinking the person who said they got in their gym gear and then sat and cried could be me right now! did a good session at the gym - not going to deny it felt like more of a chore than usual but,…
  • Thanks everyone for the comments. Feeling better sbout it and will stop thinking and make it become a habit. Hopefully it will get easier, just need to get over the mental hump!
