  • Men vary in the woman body part obsession, my guy likes feet and calves, I did not know I had nice feet and had never thought about it. I did not notice peoples feet or shoes and now that I know it turns him on, I notice it all the time. I understand, every woman wants to be their partners object of desire, but at the end…
  • Don't want to get into a debate so I will tell you my experience. I wear a HRM so I know pretty close to what I am burning. I burn around 300-400 calories heavy lifting when I am training on my own. Now with my trainer I burn around 600-700 because there is no rest at all, he constantly watches my monitor to keep heart…
  • Body for life has a good program too, it is similar to other routines, with the 12/10/8/6 rep going from lighter to heavier weights with each set. Its free on their website, I did the upper body tuesday and def felt it. I will say that when I increased from eating 1200 to 1500 calories a day I felt so much better. I carb…
  • Ohhhhh I like Jenny McCarthy and Pink!! Whoop Whoop!! And Laura isn't ugly....makes me feel better!! God I am vain, lol!!
  • smtillman-another member said I look like suzanne sommers....Jack, wasn't that the guys name from threes company, how she use to say Jackkkkk all nasally....But I can never remember actors names so it is hard for me to say who people would look like.
  • Jackkkkkkkk (using my best nasal impression). God I hope that was her younger days, cause her now is WHOA~~ my issue I can never think of peoples names......
  • Luis yes I agree Collin Farrel, woo hoo!! I am scared to see what will be said about me, but its for fun, right??
  • Oh OH me me! I am from Mobile Alabama!! Got a big Roll Tide here!!
  • I agree with Susan above, the whole idea of low carbs is to force the body to burn fat, it will choose carbs first for fuel because it prefers it, with little carbs it will switch to buring fat. The whole point is for body to burn fat and carbs NOT muscle. I carb cycle two days of 75 low carb days and then one 100 high…
  • Check out under the groups a group called Low Carber's (or something like that), great group of people.
  • Bump
  • I started carb cycling yesterday, I am doing the low, low, high cycle. I aim for 75g on low days and 225g on high days (based on weighing 150lbs). Everything has to be complicated, I am struggling to get in pre/post workout carbs and maintain 75g on workout days. I have heavy lift days on MWF, and T, TH, S are…
  • Ok, I love the fact that I actually have a ghetto booty (that is what I am told, lol), I have GREAT hair, and I have a magnetic personality (especially when alcohol is involved, lol). I am very independent and I am NOT shy a bit, so no one intimidates me easily. Its funny because you asked what I liked about myself and I…
  • I tried it today with Cottage Cheese, I used 1/4 cup oats (150 calories), 1/2 cup cottage cheese (90calories), and 1/2 cup crushed pineapple with splenda (50 calories). It is probably my favorite so far. Did anyone notice that your belly swelled some, an I had awful gas....maybe TMI but wondering if anyone else had this…
  • I second everything that was said above. I probably would have quit ten times if it wasn't for my trainer, he holds me accountable. Now that I am in better shape, I am more accountable to myself, it took him getting me "over the hump", so to speak. He has taught me proper technique, I see the results he has with his other…
  • I like muscle magazine for her....lots of good routines and recipes
  • I tried it....it was good but the greek yogurt was a bit tart....I am gonna try something else in its place and add blueberries.. I agree, we need a mark topic, bumping takes forever to get through the threads....and the quote thing makes the pages longggggg.
  • maybe you meant snack, I choose cottage cheese, it is high in protein, not too high in calories, and carbs are reasonable.
  • Amazing ladies!! Question: How much is too much hang on the bottom of the arms? Sounds stupid but when I flex I still have that jiggle, prob inch or so, so I don't show them off because I don't look like the fitness pro's.
  • I have the same issue, I want my muscles to "pop" like the fitness models, but from what I am told, they carb out for a few weeks before those shoots and competitions, so that you can see that ripped effect. But they go back to a healthier diet when training because you need those carbs to build muscle. I welcome…

  • If you look at my blog, I watched the videos and tried to document all the exercises, reps, and circuits. I thought I was crazy and could not count, but she isn't consistent with her reps in the videos (also noted by other fellow MFP), regardless you get the idea. Hope my notes can help you guys.
  • I can tell you from someone who has NEVER ran unless being chased, that the C25K program works. I have gradually worked my way up to week 4, although I have been running for two months, on and off with my trainer. He is the one who started me running, I couldn't run a block without stopping and I am not considerably…
  • I agree you guys are impressive! Most of my machine work I do not know the weight because the trainer puts the pin in, I think he is trying to deter me from obessing over amount of weight and focus on control, form, and reps. I want to obsess over the weight. I will answer what I know Bench Press: 95 max, 30lbs norm Bicep…
  • Is the Bod pod expensive? Does a DR perform, I would love to know mine. I am going to google, you have me curious now. lol!!

  • Lateral Raisesthey are demonic
  • What is bod pod? Also from what I was told those calculators are bogus, they are based on calculating height, age, current weight, etc. But a toned 135lb, 5.6, 35 yr old, isn't a flabby 135lb, 5.6, 35 year old. (I am using ficticious #'s) but you get the point. I was told the only true way to get body fat % is the Dr…

  • I agree on the full body workouts, that is what my trainer has me do as well. Everything I have read says lift first then cardio. Jillian michael has a website, I believe there is a trial period, she will recommend workout circuits, that can be printed, you could print a few then cancel if you didn't like the site. Her…
  • I'm 5'6-5'7 152lbs (depending on the stupid scales) I am not sure what I max at I did deadlifts once just playing around, but plan to add them now that I see how important they are Deadlifts-115lb I am gonna do Bench press and squat tonight and write down the lbs.
  • From what my trainer told me (he is a marathon runner), the reason mouth breathing was originally discouraged was because newbies have a tendency to pant, which causes stitches. He also said make sure that when your running not to lean forward because this compresses the diaphragm (Spelling?) and makes it difficult to…
