I tried them once. My calves were killing me the next few days and I got bad blisters. I haven't talked myself into trying again yet :)

Good for you! Small steps lead to big changes!

Honestly, I think "How could they let themselves exist like that without changing anything??" then I remember that we all started somewhere and for most people it isn't one single decision or day that you just change and start being healthy. It is a process. And who knows? They could have already lost 20, 30, 100 lbs...…

Awesome story and photos!

I don't think your numbers add up. If you didn't lose any muscle and wanted to be at 12%, you'd need to weigh approximately 130lbs.

Go run if you want to. I have 4 workout sessions per week that I stick to no matter what (M, W, F mornings and F nights). Saturday is generally a total rest day and depending on how I feel, Tu, Th and Sun can be rest or workout days. Keeps me on track but also flexible.

I've lost 47 lbs so far. There were weeks and even whole months that passed and the darn scale wouldn't budge. You just gotta keep going. Eventually your body will realize you're not staying there anymore and it's time to move. Eat, drink water, lift weights, sleep, repeat :)

6 weeks. 45 lbs gone total despite some pauses :)

Ha thanks! Yes the last one is from about a month ago (2013)! Thank you everyone. I'm always encouraged by the success story posts. It's been slow and (not)steady for me. Lots of weeks with no changes. In the beginning (March 2012-September 2012) I only counted calories and did some cardio. In October, I started working…

I get up at 6am most days to get a workout in before work. I have the flexibility to work my 60 hour weeks so that I can hit the weights M, W, F morning, yoga M night, Tennis TH night and stadiums F night. I might get an extra run in on T or Sat. I don't have kids or pets etc and my fiance works as hard as I do so that…

I've gone from 208 to 165 and I still have the same shape as you, its just smaller. I don't remember having this issue in the 140s so we'll see :) Great job, keep it up!

I have not but she is impressive! Good luck!

That's about twice what I pay per session but my trainer is worth his weight in gold. I meet him 3x per week and its motivating, educational, etc. I have been working out with him for 12 weeks and I am so happy with my progress.

My fiance was kind of like this in the beginning. I just kept going and now he's enjoying the results of my hard work so he's more supportive :)

I'm #1 happy and losing fat.

It happens :)

My second set of boobs? Yes.

Congrats! Yes lifting weights will help but I think you need to keep doing whatever you've been doing. Your body will keep changing for the better :)

I have a lot of respect for the people that plan to change their lives on Jan 1st but I totally understand the OP's frustration - the extra crowded gym is really annoying.
