Did you start working out? Most likely it is your body retaining water. If you did new workouts your muscles could be holding water to rebuild. Give it time. Plus your body can fluctuate up to 5 lb a day due to water and things like sodium intake, time of day you weighed, bowel movements, etc.

You can add me. We just got engaged about a month ago and are getting married 5/2/2015! I'm 5'6" and looking to lose at least 30 lb before then. I am using MFP and also made a "bet" on healthywage.com I put up $900 and if I lose 35 lb (I started 2 months ago at 186.6) in 6 months they pay me $1,700! I figured between the…

I'm eatting a no-bake energy ball as I type. Approx. 90 calories and its got choc chips, coconut, peanut butter, oatmeal, and flax seeds in it. Super healthy and I am addicted to them! Edit for spelling

Just an FYI on the "30 Day" Shred. I've been told that she doesn't really encourage you to do it for 30 days straight. But suggests you do it 3 days a week with breaks (ie do it Mon, Wed, Fri) but for 30 days of working out. This makes it take 10 weeks instead of a month and I would suggest doing cardio on the non-JM days…

Bump. I just got a Jawbone UP and am using all 3 apps. I went for a bike ride this morning using MMR and used the stopwatch on the UP to log it. Now I'm afraid it's double counting my workout. Anyone have any tips or explanation for what's happening? My UP so far says: 1,131 total burn 678 active burn 453 resting burn MFP…

I agree with all of this persons answers. Some say the paid sites are better because it shows the person is committed and not just looking for a quickie. I found that a lot of people who are on the paid sites are also on the free ones. I used POF and my bf and I just had our 2nd anniversary. We are looking to get engaged…

I've been using it for about 3 weeks now and like it. You can use it for gym, food log, or veggie/fruit intake. You don't have to put any money in unless you don't meet your goal for the week. You set it up each week (ie this week I said I would eat 13 fruits/veggies so if I don't, I pay $5 for each fruit/veggie I don't…

I don't know where you live but I just learned of this website in the US call gwynniebee.com that lets you "rent" clothes. You subscribe and can get 3 - 5 items at a time, wear them as many times as you like and then just send back and they send you the next items on your list. Sounds a lot like Netflix for clothes to me.…

One of mine was on an office visit with other potential interns for a Big 4 accounting firm. A few days before I got an ulcer in my eye from dirt under my contacts. I had to wear a black eye patch otherwise my eye burned like crazy. I showed up and they looked at me funny, I said "oh we weren't supposed to come in…

:grumble: I got a pretty coral dress on clearance at the end of summer last year. Still doesn't fit. It's one of those skin tight things so I can't wear until I flatten my stomach out a little more :blushing:

I have made Spicy Cream Cheese roll-ups before and Cucumber Boats. Both were a hit and not too difficult. http://www.mrsdash.com/recipes/appetizers-side-dishes-snacks/spicy-cream-cheese-roll-ups http://veggylicious.blogspot.com/2012/05/feta-cucumber-boats.html#!/2012/05/feta-cucumber-boats.html Good luck!

"I have looking into trying this as well for a detox. My understanding is that it is all natural, so unless you add sugar, you should not have any processed garbage in your system when you are done. My only fear is that I won't feel full enough and that my calorie intake will not be high enough. I am currently doing the…

I'd like to join! I am currently at 2000 calories approx TDEE - 20%. I do a crossfit style boot camp 4-5 times a week 30-45 min at a time and other general exercise (bike ride or walk with my son or abs/elliptical at lunch) 2-5 additional hours a week. I set my goal of doing 24 hours of exercise this month (1,440 min) and…

I haven't used a FitBit but that does sound a little high for the calorie burn. I have recalculated my calories based on : http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 I am 5'6 27 yo female and have been exercising a good bit and I recently upped my calories to 2000. My TDEE was…

She is a spammer. This is not the first post where she posts the exact same comment about the wraps. The other thread I saw it on had to do with muscle loss so the post is kinda random. ETA: Speaking about the 1st post re: "crazy wrap things"

Most likely it is water retention. You also may not be eating enough for the intensity of your workouts (30DS plus practice). I'd calculate my TDEE if I were you and set protein/fat/carbs to be 30%/30%/40%. Also most people that post their 30DS success stories show a lot of inches lost. You may be losing inches instead of…

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 Explains easily how to calculate your TDEE to set your calories. I have done this and am doing 30% fat, 30% protein, and 40% carbs. My diary is open. This week is the first in a while that I have been accurately tracking as I am trying…

That is great! A little bit goes a long way and is only takes one step to start your journey. Making the commitment to do something every day is big and I wish you the best of luck with it (I have a hard time committing to exercise programs for more than a week or two and am struggling with this myself).

I am 5'6 27 yo around 170. I upped mine to 1500 a little while back and have now upped mine to 1800. In a week or so I will bump up to 1900 as I have increased my exercise load. I have struggled with the weight mostly from periods of little exercise and heavy drinking otherwise I am sure I would have lost more. Even with…
