  • She deactivated her account..... hmmm
  • BUMP for the recipes
  • Great job! Very Inspiring
  • Bump. I am interested in this also.... though I know most will probably suggest Kale chips... I hate kale though, bleh.
  • Read this: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 Calculate your TDEE and follow those suggestions. You are eating way to little especially if you are working out that hard. Good luck!
  • This post http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 helped me. You seem to be on the right track. I'm 5'6 and my goal is 1700. It probably should be higher since I have started exercising more but will wait another week or so before I start upping it.
  • bump for encouragement and later reading
  • bump for a reminder when I need to make those healthier choices! Thanks for sharing ::smile::
  • He doesn't drink when he goes to the breastaurants at lunch. This was the first time I have known him to get off early and get smashed before coming home. I DO NOT condone drunk driving.
  • Thanks everyone for the responses. I just needed to get outside my bubble and make sure I was not being a complete nut case. The drunk driving was a big issue and we discussed it. He knows he was out of bounds there. I just had a hard time with the strip club because while I have been lax on the breastaurants (I knew it…
  • I would have gladly come and picked him up when he was ready to go if I knew where/what he was doing. All I knew until he got home was that he "got off early and am going to grab lunch and hang out with the guys for a little bit."
  • Since this has been brought up several times. I DO NOT try to control him. Hence why I am working through my thought process in a neutral place (MFP) rather than ranting to my mom or friends who would easily take my side. I have never given him ultimatums and do not nag him about going to breastaurants. I have told him…
  • He usually goes with the guys at work and has since I have known him. Even though it bothered me I won't tell him flat out not to go. He works in a male-dominate field so I do understand that thats typically "their thing." This is the first time he has gone to a strip club that I know of and I am not sure I want to accept…
  • We do spend a lot of time together so I am always encouraging him to hang out more with his friends. And we do hang out with his couple friends every now and then. I am not sure Redneck Heaven is a happy medium and a city near me just had to re-define nudity to prevent the waitresses from ONLY wearing body paint.
  • Check this post http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 It explains a lot in a way thats easy to understand. I upped my cals from 1200 to 1750 and while I haven't lost much (due to lack of exercise mainly), I haven't gained from where I was when I was on 1200. I'm currently…
  • For all the newbies I would suggest reading this post: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12. It explains a lot about your calories needed and how to calculate them a little better. I'm suprised many people haven't jumped on this yet as the 1200 calorie goal tends to be a…
  • Try this: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 See what that calculates and set that as your calorie goal without eating back exercise calories (they are already included) and set fat/protein/carbs to be 30%/30%/40%. I started losing again when I UPPED my calories from…
  • Hi! Feel free to add me. 26 5'6" HW: 260 CW: 165 GW: 135-145 My diary is open (although just ended a 3 day juice fast yesterday) and have set me calories and fat/protein/carb ratio based on: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 I've done some 30 Day Shred, JM Killer Buns…
  • Really interesting even if they are generalizations. I know there are some things in the American household pic that I never buy (ie potato chips!) ETA: I also find it interesting how many people are in the "typical" households. It really makes you feel for the people in Chad that have so little and it helps you learn to…
  • Don't let it knock you off track! If this is the first time it's been this bad in over a year you have made a lot of progress. Get back on track tomorrow and forget this day ever happened. Stay focused and maybe drink a little more water and work out a little longer in the next couple of days. It will be alright if you…
  • When I first started and at other times during my journey when I noticed my water intake dropped, I would log my water. Lately I have been getting 8 - 14 cups a day without hardly thinking so I haven't bothered in a while. I mainly use it when I need the reminder.
  • I recently saw a post where someone tracked their weight EVERY DAY for a period of time and then made a graph with it. It was neat to see the fluctuations and the overall downward trend. I personally am more worried about the overall trend than the day to day fluctations. This being said. I started my own chart this week…
  • I second this. You need to recalculate your calories, make sure you are measuring everything, be honest with yourself, and up your protein. I used the roadmap to set my calories and then did 30% from fat, 30% from protein, and 40% from carbs. That set my protein at more than twice the amount of my fat. Which makes sense to…
  • From what I have read in regards to TDEE, you would eat at 15-20% below that level and NOT eat back your exercise calories. I would suggest you try to get to 1700 calories a day. I am 5'6 and about 170 and have upped my calories to this. I haven't been gaining but I haven't been losing either. At this point my biggest…
  • I usually add 1 scoop of protein powder... either chocolate or vanilla and never taste the spinach!
