Happy Fiction Friday!

My thoughts and best wishes are with you - I hope she returns soon.

Another Leslie fan here! I do her 3 mile walk, using 2kg weights for the first ten mins - trying to build it up over time!
-
I feel your pain. The walking will help balance it out. Foodwise, I'd try to stay away from bread, pies and chips and switch to diet G&Ts if you're having a drink. Do the best you can before and after the holiday and enjoy your time away - it's only a few days.

Welcome! I did WW in 2004, found it very frustrating and definitely promoting their products. I still have the odd WW dinner but find MPF easier to manage. And it's free!
-
Hi Sarah, welcome! I created my diary to read: Breakfast, Elevenses, Lunch, Snacks, Dinner and Supper. I usually know what I'm having for breakfast and dinner and base the other meals around it. Don't forget, the free foods in WW have calories here. It takes getting used to but the database is a great help. Find out what…

Bought them over a year ago; feels like wearing wetsuit shorts. They made me sweat but no difference in weight whatsoever, apart from my wallet. Seems to me like you need to be doing 2 hours of Zumba every day to lose lots of weight. They DO hold in the tummy though!

Argo. Amour.

They're leaving home next weekend. They're so big and funny, poor Ripley needs a break. I hope they all get lovely families who will care for them as much as John has over the past month or so.

At the end of week 4, I've lost 4.5 lbs! Am very happy as have been at the same weight for ages. It works, but it takes planning and discipline. Well, it does for me anyway.
-
Done!

You're here. That's a good start. Stick with it, log everything and try to move about a bit. If you buy junk food, you will eat it. You can do workouts at home. Glad you're laughing, hopefully when you read your original post in a year's time, you'll laugh at that too. Hugs and good luck!

I'm in! I do Leslie Sansone's 3 mile walk most days (45 mins) but will promise to do at least 20 mins every day.
-
A Crunchie, or Maltesers, but I'm having an apple. Glad I'm not alone!
-
An apple, willing it to be a Crunchie!

Hi, am on week 3. Doing my 500 cals days Mondays and Thursdays, although insomnia makes me swop them about sometimes. Doing a weigh-in next Friday so will see how it goes. It takes a bit of planning too.
-
Have some chocolate. Just a little bit.
-
Try this website: http://www.cookingquinoa.net/ I'm still experimenting with quinoa, needs lots of flavour added!
-
Bump! Thank you, will definitely check it out.
-
I gained 20lbs in 3 weeks when I changed birth control pills, went back to the old one straight away but the weight is still here!
-
I do Leslie Sansone's Walking Away the Pounds - start with Part 1 and Part 2, they're on Youtube as is her 3-mile walk. Free and easy to manage. I had to stop 30 Day Shred due to knee and shoulder pains but it works for many people - there are plenty of free videos on Youtube to get you started. Good luck!
-
Am 'between cats' at the moment so I enjoy watching them now and then.

Keep moving. Walking helps. It uses up calories you can eat when you get home, especially if you've been out to buy healthy food. Yes, it's tough, but look at clothes, books, films, listen to music (dance and sing!), online stuff - recipes, forums etc. Think about how you can 'cheat' - low-cal soups, meals and whatever…

Welcome! The daily logging and database is a great source of information. Friends help too, give it a go and see what works for you. Best of luck.
-
Thanks for this! I've now changed my weekly loss from 1lb to .5lb, looking forward to some results!
-
Hello all, thanks for the invite. I'm 48, 5ft 3.5in, share my time between my home (West of Ireland) and my boyfriend's (South West), mother of a 23 year old. I am at the beck and call of three ginger cats. I joined MFP in January, my aim is to lose 25 lbs. I've lost 7 so far. I try to workout every day, I know I have a…

I've been here almost a year now, about time I made some friends! My diary is open to friends, I'm on every day, progress is slow so I could do with some support and positive advice.
-
We seem to have a lot in common - over 40, empty nester (almost), 20 lbs to lose, do 60 mins Leslie Sansone most days. Still battling with the 30DS! Request sent!
-
Good job, ladies! I did 1 hour of Walking Away the Pounds Parts 1 and 2 as can't get her videos in Region 2.
-
Love the Matt Damon ones! I like the thickness of the first pair, the shape of the 2nd pair - you're getting there!
