  • It's helping me break my diet coke addiction. Drink up!
  • good post. to the OP, I don't have an ED, but I know certain behaviors that I personally have, and how this works for me. Only you know your triggers and your ED. Tread carefully if this will cause more harm than good for you.
  • Good luck! I am plant based, but not 100% but pretty close when I'm on plan, and its whole foods, not junk food vegan. I do it because I believe it is healthy, and it works for me. Like you, I struggle with binging (even though I am only slightly overweight). I don't do well with moderation and counting calories or macros.…
  • I want to lose 10 as well. I am 5' 1.5". Currently about 128.5. Going on a beach vacation on 6/8. I'll take anything below 120! But I am working with weights, because really I know that's how I will look better, regardless of what the scale says.
  • the bulletproof coffee guy is totally gimmicky and his whole site is a sales pitch. Have you ever considered that the the cholesterol myth is just a myth??
  • As a vegan, there are a lot of protein sources. Don't forget, protein is in everything! It does add up. Plant based protein powders are easy to find in most large grocery stores. They can be soy, hemp or pea based. Amazon has a ton too at good prices. That said, I'm not certain you have to supplement.…
  • I eat plant based the majority of the time. The only vitamins I take are B12 and D.
  • Yes, this. Are you a SAHM. Do you plan to EBF? If so, no need to pump unless you are just that uncomfortable. I never could hand express, but if I did pump to relieve engorgement, it was only just enough to relieve the pressure.
  • Are you swollen? why can't you wear your maternity clothes that you wore presumably right before giving birth? Are they too tight in the boobs, that would be understandable, anything else would be cause for concern. Frankly, I'd talk to your doctor or midwife. I would think you need to eat at least 2000 calories a day…
  • You look amazing. You have a perfect hourglass now. I don't mean this to sound wierd or creepy, but I'm envious of your boobs. I wish I had boobs. sigh.
  • I am 5'1.5", and current weight is 126. GW is 110(ish). I have a small frame, and a high body fat percentage so I still wear a size 6/8 at my weight. I started at about 140 (that is where my weight stalled out after having kids) I am working out, lifting and moderate cardio. I'm not a slave to the scale, I'd just want to…
  • I really really love my New Balance Minimus. But it's a minimalist shoe and totally difference from a traditional running shoe. I can't wear traditional running shoes anymore without feeling like I have blocks strapped to my feet. But I am not a serious runner. My sister very much is a wears a traditional shoe. She loves…
  • Get health under control then worry about weight. After that, what is the obsession with healthy fats and protein? Eat real food. Arguably, fat is not "clean" and is processed. Real food will have all the fat and protein your body needs. Plus fat, unless PRECISELY measured, can jack up those calories QUICK. I'm just not…
  • June 8-14 at Wilderness Lodge. SO excited! Our 2nd trip as a family....we went 2 years ago. Our kids are 6 and 4 and its a secret!!!
  • I've been probably 80-90% plant based since the beginning of the year, and during a couple month stretch last spring. I think you are taking a good approach. Focus on adding in, and not so much taking out. If I really focus on eating the things I know I should (fruit, greens, seeds, raw and cooked veggies, legumes) then…
  • There is a big difference between being an A hole and expressing concern for ones flawed dieting or detox method. Just reading the first few pages, there was way more A hole posts than constructive, educational criticism. Oh Oh wait, forget, should grow a thicker so so we can can all continue our A hole ways. Slow clap MFP…
  • My best friend has colitis and had similar symptoms. I agree with everyone else, see a GI doc. Incidentally, a gluten free diet did not cure her. ((HUGS))
  • For the record, I ate tex mex at my favorite spot in Houston, and I had my order on 3 dishes, and that didn't include my tortillas in their own basket. Lol
  • You've lost 2.8 lbs in one month. You have lost something. for someone with only 10lbs to lose, you are doing VERY well. Be patient and stay the course. Be true to your calorie counts. If you are only eating 1200 day in and day out, I am worried you are in for a crash and burn (binge), which will hinder progress.
  • you offered, you asked, you received. Why you mad? Ramadan is fasting for what, 14 hours max? Maybe 16? #1, its a religious observation. #2, you eat daily. I'm not seeing how you can compare Ramadan to an extended water fast. But if you are so set on it, why did you ask for opinions? Carry on....
  • love me some Freebirds.... from your friendly MFP tsip
  • Female 5'2" 36 yo CW: 132 GW: 115 Currently eat 1300 and I eat back most of my exercise calories. Occasionally I cheat with a high calorie day on the weekend. I walk 5-6 days a week, weights 2-3 days a week.
  • I totally get it...I usually can super motivate myself for 3-4 weeks and then I no longer give a flying flip because life gets in the way, I get tired, busy and/or stressed and no longer care enough because I put those other things at the top of my list and I need something to make myself feel good or whatever. And I don't…
  • amazing! WTG!!!
  • I'm almost 5'2" started at 140, now 131 but with high body fat %. My TDEE is around 2000 calories and I had best luck eating 1400-1500 calories a day with 3ish workouts per week. Granted weight loss was slow, but you want it to be slow given that you don't have that much to lose. I think a more realistic goal is .5-1 lb a…
  • great progress!!!
  • Its way hard for me to drink and lose weight. Because I too often drink too much and then I'm hungover and will eat whatever will help the hangover. Then those cravings spill over to Monday cravings and so on. If I can restrict to 1-2 drinks I'm good. Anything beyond that and I'm wrecked for days. so IMO, try to restrict…
  • I have seen no pics on this thread that are "skinny fat". Both picture posters looked great and slim before and great and more muscular after. But not skinny fat. Not to take away from their progress but they already had lower bf%. I am skinny fat. 5'2, 131 lbs and 30%+ bf but I wear a size 6/8. That is a skinny fat in my…
