  • Deer Park makes a flavored sparkling water that I like a lot. Lime, lemon, berry lime, and orange in a case. The only place I've ever seen it is Costco.
  • a little neosporin should help. it will get on your bra, but who cares. it will wash. even if you don't bounce, the t-shirt does and DAMN does it hurt. i feel your pain.
  • This happened to me as well. SHOES! I would suggest hitting a good shoe store and having them measure you. New Balance is great for this and can really fit you in a sneaker that's best for you. I found out that my feet are 2 different sizes and widths!
  • Am I the only one that doesn't know what a double gut is? What makes a gut a "double" gut? Sorry if I'm dumb... :(
  • Some people would think that undies actually falling off would be a BAD event in one's life... BUT NOT US!!! CONGRATS!!! :-)
  • Mine's more booty than hips. From front I look narrow. It's when I turn to the side that you see my "width". I'm 5'8'' and I'm 41" at my biggest part of my butt and 28" at my waist (within 10-15 pounds of my goal weight). The important thing is that YOU are happy with your body. Everyone is so different! Congrats on not…
  • I feel like I read at some point that they are building a database that will someday be up and searchable. But not yet...
  • My feet fall asleep when I walk/run and the New Balance expert person told me that is a width issue in my shoe. I had to buy a wide and it's much better now. I don't normally wear a wide, but I guess these particular tennis shoes ran narrow. I would definitely check with your doctor. You may not be able to prevent the pain…
  • I experienced this in my early 20's with a significant weight gain. My doctor explained it as a "hormonal change". So, if you've recenlty had a baby I think that makes lots of sense. Also, when I went off of BCPs my hair got thicker. Apparenlty, hormones have a big affect on our hair!!!
  • Hi and welcome. I love to cook too. You can still putter around the kitchen, just think a little differently. One of my challenges is to try to make some of my husband and my favorites in a healthier/lower calorie way. I am finding that I can eat a lot of the foods I used to but in smaller portions supplemented with a…
  • Your ticker is making me release all kinds of happy endorphins... or something of the kind. :-)
  • Seriously... I can't believe you have this much self control. Once a month!!! I said I was going to do every other week. I had to have my husband literally take my scale from me to stop me from weighing in every day 5 times! I'm a little better now. Maybe I only weigh... 3 or 4 times unofficially. I'm pathetic. You are a…
  • I used to weigh on Wednesdays because that's when I started and I liked the idea of a mid-week weigh-in. I now do Satrudays because - and I have no idea why this is - after I'm up for an hour or 2 (without eating or drinking of course) I weigh less! When I got up this past Saturday, I weighed myself immeidiately... 162.2.…
  • Try them cooked and see if it still happens. I'm allergic to bananas, but I can eat them cooked. I'm told there is a chemical change that takes place when things are cooked. I have several food allergies where this is the case. If it is an allergic reaction I would be really careful with it. The reaction won't necessarily…
  • OH! And both Levi's and Dockers make a "curvy" fit that "loves your curves". They work fo rme sometimes, but I have to go up a size in the Levi's. Apparently, what they call curvy and what I call curvy and two different things. :)
  • I have had this problem for years. Skinny, fat, and everywhere in between, my waist is a good 2 sizes smaller than my butt and thighs. The solution - which I got from Stacey and Clinton on What Not To Wear - buy jeans/pants to fit the biggest part of your body, take them to a tailor, and have the rest fitted to your…
  • right. and roll it in sugar first. :)
  • Just remember that you took a few months to put that weight on so it's probably going to take a few months to get it off. As far as chocolate goes... snack packs are good. They make those mousse ones now which are amazing and very low cal. When I'm REALLY in bad shape for some chocolate I just go with a peppermint patty…
  • Hi Kris. Welcome. I'm a teacher so my days can be really hectic. Sometimes I don't have time to log in during the day at all. What I generally do is plan my food the night before (when I pack my lunch and snacks) and log it all then. That way, I also have an idea as to how many calories I'm going to have left for dinner…
  • I exercise before but that's just me. I find that if I wait until after I cook, eat, get cleaned up, etc... somehow I don't end up exercising. It's much easier for me to just get my workout out of the way as soon as I get home from work. But that's just me...
  • Welcome to MFP, Dave. You will definitely meet a lot of nice people here. And you can vary what you eat from day to day... just stay within your calorie goal. For me, there is no motivation to hit the gym like knowing I get extra calories if I do. I guess that's the chubby girl in me. :blushing: And when those pounds start…
  • Just stay in your calorie range. When I'm planning a margarita or two I am sure to exercise that day and watch my calories throughout the day. I eat before I go out so I'm not tempted by delicious/terrible bar food. Dancing while drinking helps too. :drinker: Don't feel bad about a few drinks and a night out with your…
  • From Weight Watchers... Mix a spice cake mix and a small can of pumpkin. Bake according to the instructions on the cake box. It doesn't sound like ti will work, but I promise you it does! I make them all the time. They are really delicious and moist muffins. You can make 24 small muffins or 12 big ones. :drinker:
  • I try to keep my sugar under, but it is the thing I struggle with the most. Everything seems to have sugar in it! When I start feeling bad about something I ate, I just remind myself of what I WOULD have eaten a few months ago and I suddenly feel a lot better about my choice. :) Before you were on MFP... would you have…
  • I eat the same things over and over as well. When I'm at work, I don't have time to think about what I'm eating. When I get sick of something I change it up! If you're still enjoying the food and you're still losing weight and you're hitting your goals (nutrition wise)... why change? I would say to just do what works for…
  • When I did WW, they gave us a recipe for a pumpkin cake that is also amazing! It is a spice cake mix and a can of pumpkin (not the big can, just the regular size.) Mix the two together and bake as usual. When you're mixing it really seems like it's not going to work, but it does and it's really moist... and yummy!
  • For my wedding, I had a pair that went from my knees all the way up to my bra. They had a strap that hooked to my bra to keep them from rolling down. I can't remember what size I got, but there is a sizing chart on the Spanx website that you can use that seemed pretty accurate. They were awesome. HOT... but helped my shape…
  • http://www.metric-conversions.org/weight/stones-to-pounds.htm
  • The easiest thing for you to do would be to simply use a calculator and multiply your weight in stones (exactly as you read it from the scale) by 14. This will give you your weight in pounds. (1 stone = 14 pounds) So if the scale reads 10.10 stones, you would do 10.10*14 and you should get 141.4 pounds. Hope this helps!
  • I have heard great things about the weight watchers scales I have a few friends that have them and they say they are VERY accurate. I have a digital one that I got from Bed Bath and Beyond that I like alot. It seems to be very accurate. I think I paid around $50 for mine but the weight watchers one might be more like $30.
