  • Thank you all for your help, I have talked to her, but she really doesn't care. So I'll have to just do my best to go about my own business...
  • Oh she knows VERY well that I'm trying to lose weight. She doesn't seem to care anymore. And worse- she suspects as a family that we eat our meals together. Failure heading my way. :(
  • I am IN. I have been late-night-snacking free for 5 days and counting! :)
  • Ah, Finals... what a lovely time. But, I am so grateful to be going to the school I am, so it balances out. I understand your stress, but make the time for yourself to work-out. It will help your focus and if your like me keep the "i didn't work out today" guilt away. And def. eat healthy snacks! Berries, Grapes, Apple…
  • From student to student, I understand. This became my downfall.. snacking late at night, constant snacking while I was studying (which I prob. do for 2-5hrs. a day) and all of the sudden, weight gain. Yikes... so here's my solution: Just don't do it. I know that this seems all too simplistic, but just don't do it. It can…
  • THank you all sooo much!
  • Okay, so I was wondering if anyone knows of a website that will create the nutritional facts (carbs, calories, fat, sugar, protein, sodium, etc.) if we enter the amount of each ingredient we use in a recipe? I am sure many of you just estimate with a recipe that is similar to yours, but what if we make totally different…
  • Thank you so much all of you for your support. The last time I did my fast of 6 days... it was amazing. I did come out of it spiritually stronger. I totally substituted my meals for prayer and a whole lot of prayer in between as well. :) I worked out like 5 of the 6 days and my work-outs were great and I slept amazing.…
  • Okay, so I know that not everyone on this site will understand this, but I am considering doing a fast for spiritual purposes, but obviously it's going to affect me physically. The last time I did one, I went 6 days, allowed myself plenty of water and herbal, non-caffeinated tea, and ended up losing like 8-10lbs. I have…
  • Woot woot! Country music people! I am super excited! Does everyone have Keith Urban's new CD?! SOOOO AMAZING!!!
  • I love love love mashed cauliflower! MY recipe: Break up the cauliflower and boil it (for more chunky, make bigger pieces, for smoother for "mashed potato-ish", break it into smaller pieces.) When it it's soft, strain it and put it back in the warm pot (without the water of course) Add a little butter, garlic powder (For…
  • Hi, Quick question- what do you do if you're just not hungry? Do you eat anyway? Like we're talking just not hungry all day....
  • Can you help me too?! Message yes is so and I'll send you my stats.
  • CSI: NY, BURN NOTICE!!!, and probably the new show Southland, airing April 9, 9pm NBC. I have been watching Grey's since it 1st debuted, but this year, I have totally lost sight of it. Even since January started, I have not seen but like 1 episode and thus have given up. Apparently, according to my friends and peers, I am…
  • bEAUTIFUL, warm Southern California. We have had THE nicest weather here lately. I feel so blessed! It's just been perfect weather. Everyone at my school was gone today- Beachin' it. :)
  • what is all this "bumping" stuff about and why on Earth did this guys deactivate his account?
  • Okay, so I am sure this is weird and maybe I am the only one, but I usually work-out at least 5 days/ week, sometimes 6 if I feel like it. However, I feel like on the days that I don't work-out, I am super hungry and that everything digests faster. Is this normal?
  • Whoa whoa... you all way misunderstood. It wasn't an intentional cutting of my calories. It just happened that when I was eating all of my meals yesterday that only consisted of lean protein, fruits, and vegetables that I came out way under my calories. It wasn't like an anorexic ploy or something. When I used to run…
  • Crazy... I looked at a report of my calories from the last 7 days and all they have done is drop each day. Today, I finished out at 699 calories- no carbs, no fat (natural ones of course), just vegetables, berries, and lean protein (ground turkey). And I had a great workout today! Spent 45min. on the Stair-Master. I think…
  • In my opinion- it's okay so long as it's natural sugars from fruits or tomatoes for example. I go over every day. I don't drink milk or eat regular sugar, but I eat fruit (berries, grapefruits), have straight balsamic vinegar (both regular and white) on my salads, and eat tomatoes in my salads quite often. In that, there…

  • Weigh more? Oh yes. I weight almost 8-10lbs more b/c of fricken' water weight. It's weird though- I crave food like a week before, then the day or 2 leading up to it, I am not that hungry and not that hungry for the first couple of days, then things kind of return to normal. Problem is that I continue to eat even when I am…
  • Honestly, I used to abide by the "eating late isn't a problem...blah blah blah" thing, but honestly- that's when I started putting on weight. I think if you go to bed and you haven't reached your 1200 calories, you're gonna be okay. Go to bed. Going to be hungry will have you waking up hungry and ready to eat a healthy…

  • Question- You said that you don't eat past 8pm at night? Does this mean that you eat until 8pm? Because if you do and then you go to the gym @ 8:45pm, you're generally only going to be working off what you have in your stomach. It takes most food (with the exception of something like berries or lettuce) at least 2 hrs. to…
  • Hi! I will be graduating college in 9 weeks and I am looking to lose approx. 20lbs. before then. This is actually totally possible... I just need to be disciplined! So here's my plan: 1. Continue on my dedicated work-out of 5 days a week 2. Healthy eating- duh! 3. Breakfast= berries, grapefruit, apple, or Ezekiel cereal 4.…
  • Oh my gosh... at night when I am studying, I am used to snacking. So I am trying to stop the snacking. New idea- chew gum. Worked fine until I basically went through a pack a night (not really, but close enough). Any ideas how to fight these things?
  • Dude- if you're not hungry. No need to... that's how we lost weight- eat less calories than we burn! Go you!
  • Steaming brussels sprouts is your best option. I personally like mine with just a little butter (real butter not the horrible for you margarine crap) and sea salt and black pepper.
  • Yikes... I spend about $100 a week. Puts it in perspective when you think about it. I buy a lot of organic food thought (sometimes more expensive) and I shop at Costco for poultry (ground turkey and chicken) and berries and water.
