WHAT A THROW BACK ...i havent done those in a few years....might have to do it again soon for fun...or make the kids i train do it for even more fun, this is an effective exercise i back it...but with anything you must set up right

sled work especially backwards drags facing the implement, lots of log clean and presses with a medium weight best if you use a log, and after you flip a tire 3 times jump on it ten times....i dont do the tire thing every session as it is a real asskicker

I dont know if anyone else has said this but a great beginner fed is 100% RAW i believe they now allow knee wraps but dont hold me to it...wrist wraps and belts are acceptable.....check out the rules...i usually lift without anything but i might don the belt and wraps coming up soon at the kumite classic near my hometown

I always found trap bar deads to really activate my hips .. Maybe throw in some front squats too

you ever try doing pin squats starting from you bottom position for doubles you get two reps up and one down this saves my hips on occasion when I feel they need an extra week

Im about to be 22 5'8 230lbs here probly 10 lbs of fat that is unnecessary ive been lifting for about 6 years seriously atleast 4 of those with competing... Raw no belt no wraps ect. yeah, i have to pull 18 at some shows like in the photo, i use rack pulls i wanst saying all rackpulls are wrong infact im doing them this Friday but aside from doing holds or shrugs or just attempting to shock cns or grip work... there comes a point where the bar is too high for no good reason which many gym bros do
