Hi, I thought I'd add this just in case it's something you want to look into. My father in law completely reversed his diabetes in less than three months by eating a 100% plant based diet (vegan). He didn't attempt to make any other lifestyle changes and didn't attempt to 'diet' though it's likely he will have naturally…

I know this is a bit late now :s but I just changed my very first entry

Hey - I just checked your diary. You have so many cals lost in sauces and extras - use less mayo, ranch etc and cut back on the dairy - cheese, milk etc. and you'll be fine. After a while you really start to appreciate the taste of stuff so you can use less and not notice it. Keep it up!

Monk fish?

Thanks for the cookbook info!

Totally agree with this, veg protein all the way!

I'm on week 3 of the mentioned C25k, I'm definitely making progress and I couldn't even slowly jog for 60 seconds when I started. Get one of the podcasts too, I find they really help. Good luck :)

I find that I have to have set in my head that I will go straight from work, if I sit down for a second I'm done for. I also do deals with myself, like 'you only have to go for 15 minutes, because 15 minutes is better than nothing'. I think I've actually only left after the 15 minutes once; after 15 minutes my mood has…

I think there are a lot of different levels but I try to do POP pilates on you tube (just do a search on google). I find these workouts much harder than anything I do at the gym, I couldn't walk for 4 days after the last one...definitely not just breathing and stretching, that sounds more like Yoga. Good luck :)

I was just wondering how many cals (before and after exercising) you were all eating whilst you were losing weight? I live a pretty sedentary life if I don't exercise and so my TDEE was calculated at less than 1500 a day (not including workouts). MFP has me set to lose about 2lbs a month if I eat 1200!

Hey, I know you said you didn't like Yoga but have you tried pilates? Someone recommended POP Pilates - on youtube, to me. Honestly, I have NEVER hurt so much after a work out in my life. She does all different ones, some that are cardio based too. I've copied a link for one of them but there are tonnes more. PS, the…

I just heard about this yesterday, I was pretty relieved seems as I'd worked out hard and apparently gained 4lbs in return (in the space of a day!) :s

Nope, think it's just the fat soluble vits that cause a problem if you take too much.

Listening to some people on MFP and not my own common sense had me seriously worried..especially about the 'starvation mode' myth. This website is by someone who regularly posts on MFP (stroutman81) and makes a lot of sense. No more forced feeding for me...though I kind of liked the excuse to eat a massive cake to myself!…

@ Memega - Great info, thanks :)

Not sure on the concept, you're body actually needs fats/protein to work properly but if you want to do it then I'd really make sure you get as much variety as poss. I used to juice a lot (in addition to eating proper food) and you can hide the taste of a lot of things you may not necessary like with things such as fresh…

I agree, if you're not hungry, but................................... eat if you are. Even just a yogurt or something. I tried not giving in to my hunger before bed for a couple of days, reasoning that I'm just going to sleep so why waste the cals. But if you're hungry and then going to essentially fast for 7-8 hours it's…

I have a few strawberries cooked down with a tiny bit of honey, my friends has a couple raw with splenda (or some other sweetner). We both find it just sweet enough to kill the craving and feel like dessert, but not sweet enough to trigger you wanting even more. Brushing your teeth and a strong mouthwash also helps at…

Are you getting enough protein? I find that this has a MASSIVE impact on my hunger levels. If I have even just one scrambled egg for breaky I'm not normally hungry for ages.
-
I totally agree with this ^^^^^^. I'm terrible for carbs/sugar and caffiene...once I pop, I don't stop. When I really stick to a clean diet I always feel crappy for the first week or so. Once you're body gets over the caffeine and sugar withdrawal, you'll feel great, I promise. One option could be to eat a slightly higher…

Change your settings so you can see saturated fats and cholesterol, they're what you should be most concerned with health wise. Your body needs fats to work properly and eating healthy fats like in avocados (in mod) helps you lose weight. Good luck! :)

Don't worry about the weight and stats thing, you've just lost fat but gained muscle. You can tell; you look great. I'm starting the 30DS on Mon and these have given me even more fitspiration :) Thank you for posting x

I love your profle image ha ha...so true x

I found this website but haven't had chance to read through properly yet. http://www.leangains.com/2010/04/leangains-guide.html Thought it may be of help x

I had the same exact argument yesterday with an ex boyf, I said I was hoping for muscle definition, he said that he thought that was really unattractive and would prefer to see bones as a sign of slimness...that rules him out of him ever seeing me naked again...I want to be stronggggggg (though not pumped...but obviously…

Definitely. 3 reasons: one to do with your hormones; second is to do with craving sugar when you're tired and making bad choices; third is being too tired to work out/be active. I started using eye mask/ear plugs - has made a massive difference! :) I'm sure I watched a Dr Oz that said it can make up to 14lbs in a year…
