Yep, I use frozen rasperries to make amazing smoothies =)

Welcome! That is quite a fantastic list! I don't really have a list (yet) but those goals are very similar to my own. I wish you all the luck in the world! Feel free to friend me if you like =)

I definitely eat back most or all of my exercise calories. I find that if I don't make that decision early enough to choose a healthy meal to fill those calories, I'm more prone to the night-junk snacking. And welcome back!

I'm starting school on Monday =D I think I'll have a relatively easy time of it (well, as easy as starting a diet will ever be) because I'm going to a community college for the first two years, which is not only pretty local to where I live but RIGHT around the corner from my work. I'll be able to stow away food at work if…

I always check the label. If it's got a significant enough amount and I'm using enough of it, I log it. If not, sometimes I still do, but not always.

I use this app called RunKeeper from the Android market. I LOVE it. It uses GPS to track your distance, your speed, and even traces it on a map for you. It interrupts my music every 5 minutes to let me know how long, how far, and my pace. I use it on every walk. And it's one of the free apps.

Thank you both! I might have to wait a few weeks before I can let myself by one but that sounds like it'll do!

This is an amazing story, and thank you so much for sharing it. It brought me to tears. Tears of happiness for your success, and tears of hope for myself. Congratulations to you. You have done an amazing thing!

I've found that jeans from Torrid tend to fit me a lot better than most other stores. Also at Lane Bryant, their jeans come in three different fits for each size. I'm a yellow =D

You would have to drink an extreme amount of water for it to be dangerous. After all, we're mostly made of water. You need it, and most people don't drink enough of it. If you're thirsty, drink water. Even if you're not that thirsty and you drink a few glasses, you're going to be fine.

Especially since I've started dieting, I'm addicted to Chili powder and salt. I eat it on just about everything. I've never tried it with chips, but if you have a particular seasoning you like that you would like to taste on your chips, try it out ^.^ The only thing you might want to be careful of is sodium, if that's…

Thank you! I'm definitely trying that routine in the next couple days. I think I know what most of those machines are, but I can make a list on my phone (which is my mp3 player so comes with me) and find the machines I don't know. Everything there has a label on it with basic instructions.

Thank you again :) I do need to work on the mentality of everyone started somewhere. I really appreciate your help!

Thanks for the website! I'm never done learning things, so I'll definitely check it out! I'm not sure I'm ready to do a class yet. I'm still pretty uncomfortable when I go to the gym. Self consciousness definitely goes into overdrive, and I rely heavily on my headphones to make me feel more like I'm alone when I go. I…

Thank you all so much for the info! I think they do offer classes, although I haven't looked into them yet. I have to go in the evening though, so I've never seen anything going on there yet.

Yeah they didn't do that with me, and the trainers are more than I can afford right now. I know some of the basic ones, I'm just not really sure what I should be doing. I feel like just working my arms and legs isn't enough, and with what I know I'm usually done in less than 20 minutes.

I absolutely do. I think about it constantly, I think about my goals, and how excited I will be the closer I get to them. I don't obsess dangerously about it, I'm losing at a healthy rate. I constantly think about food, but now instead of thinking of cake, candy, chips, burgers, etc, I'm thinking of how much better fruit…

Exactly!

Welcome to MFP! I hope it works well for you! I don't have any experience being yo-yo like, but the only advice I think I can give (And I am by NO means an expert) is to not think so much of this as dieting, but as a lifestyle change. I have tried many diets, but the idea of eating only meat, or only carbs, or only 1000…

I haven't tried any of them, but I've heard GREAT things about the Zumba game for Wii. I want it!

I see myself in much more fashionable clothing *lol*

I listen to a pretty wide mix of songs, but of what I've got on my playlist, there are a few that kind of get me going a bit more: Vitamin C - Smile (Super cheesy, I know. I can't figure out why it works, but I HAVE to start my workout with this every day.) Foo Fighters - Learn to Fly Korn - Coming Undone Green Day - Know…

Hi! And welcome! I'm relatively new as well. I've had the app on my phone for quite a while, which itself is invaluable, but with these message boards I feel like I've found a long lost treasure. I have a 120 lb weight loss goal, so I'm right there with you! I'm happy with my results in the short term of the last couple…

Thank you all so much! I think I'll stick with night then. I've been holding myself to it pretty well, I actually look forward to going as an end to my evening. I don't usually head to bed right after, I have a few hours depending on what time I go. I know if I were to try mornings I'd find myself hitting snooze and going…

Thank you both! I'm very excited to explore this area of the site as I get into this. I have many reasons for my decision to lose weight, from the obvious to the not so obvious. I'm hoping to find as many reasons to stay motivated as possible!
