Hey Melissa! What have you been doing to try to lose the weight first of all? What's your eating like, workouts etc? Have you thought about your goals and mini goals to get to that large goal?
-
You can do this!!!! It's time to stop starting over! Remember that. What are your goals? What do you want to focus on? Start writing that down. It'll help!!! ☺️

Hello! Have you been prepping at all? Have you practiced posing? Taken your bodyfat measurement to see if you are at a bodyfat level to compete? Yes, it could be attainable, but you also want to be prepared. Denise :)

Hey Jess! Thanks for all the good info you provided on here. Quick one for you. You say no dairy. If i am prepping 7 months out, you think i can keep the dairy (FF plain greek yogurt and 2% low sodium cottage cheese) at least until it is out of the house? LOL I would hate to throw it away!!! I don't know if i am competing…

Hey everyone! I am also starting to train for my first competition. I am officially starting training in the 26th of this month and my show won't be till April. I still have a ways to go before i am ready, so i hope the long length of time will be beneficial. Currently, i am doing this on my own with the help of my husband…

^^^This!!!!^^^ I literally log EVERYTHING! And while some might think it is obsessive, i was of the mindset of not logging little things because i didn't think they mattered. It wasn't until i realized the fresh garlic i used in cooking had quite a bit more calories than i thought. All those fresh veggies? They still have…

For the first several months i was limited as to what i could do after recouperating from an injury and surgery. I unfortunately…

Welcome newbies to the group! And good luck for those of you training to compete! I myself am training to compete this year in bikini. I was planning on doing my first show on April 6th as welll (seems to be a lot that day), but don't think i will be anywhere near ready. I am going to reavaluate at the end of each of the…

I will send you a request! I am training for my first figure competition and lift heavy 7 days a week plus cardio (i still have fat to lose). I try and eat at least 1700 cals a day. You can bet on anywhere between 1200 and 2400 though - i try and listen to my body as well as eat as needed. I log consistently and daily and…

Hey girls! How are we all doing? I can't believe it is 5 months out from competition (for some of us)! A lot of us seem to be competing around the same time frame and i agree with previous posts that we may all end up back stage together at some point!!! My diet has been slightly off point lately and my workouts have been…

Hey everyone!!! I am a new-er runner! I completed C25K and just ran my first 5 mile race this past weekend! Finished in 56 minutes, but my first 3 were completed in 30. Walked a portion of the last two as i need to continue to build up my endurance obviously. I am now trying to figure out how to add speed, increase…

^^^^^^ THIS THIS THIS ^^^^^^ INSANITY ALONE WON'T GET YOU WHERE YOU NEED TO BE! Make sure you're eating clean and healthy!!! Also, make sure you don't make the mistake of undereating. You will need fuel to get through Insanity. I made that mistake when i first did it. Good luck!!!!

Congrats!!! You have every reason to be happy and super proud of yourself!!!! WAY TO GO!!! :drinker:

I went through a similar situation, except i broke my leg and ankle and had three surgeries on it. I, like you, couldn't do a lot of high impact or strenuous work to start. I bought the hand pedals while i was still recovering (looks like a little bike for your hands). That helped work my arms and get my heart rate up a…
