  • I'd like to hear your argument on the matter. People say that all the time, but they don't actually know the reason they think it's bad.. Stevia is a herb, so natural right?
  • Along with other comments on here, I suggest eating more veggies... when you're hungry, munch on carrots, celery, cucumber, etc. to fill you up.. veggies are practically free and keep you full longer. Watch your sugar intakes (ie lots of fruit) - that can spike cravings and make you want to eat more and less well :) Keep…
  • That looks yummy!
  • Oh, and check out the clean eating magazine website - there are lots of ideas (for free) online
  • I've discovered quinoa lately - it's a great substitute to having to eat meat all the time. I often make these quinoa + lentil stuffed green peppers that are absolutely awesome. I make them ahead and freeze them. One pepper packs about 225 calories, low fat, low sodium, low sugar - high protein and fiber! My recipe is…
  • It's hard to see if you are eating right if you don't log your calories :( I try to keep true to logging my calories aswell and it really does help and keep me accountable. I also just gave birth, about a month ago, and I am now trying to loose weight to get down to about 150 (I am currently at 203). First things first,…
  • Hi everyone, I haven't been around for a while because we've had quite a rough month. We lost our little girl last week, at only 23 weeks. She had trisomy 18, a rare chromosonial condition that is fatal. We delivered on august 1st. Our little angel was 12 ounces, 10 inches and was perfect. We are coping from day to day but…
  • This is interesting - Does anyone have any idea if Amazon.ca (Canada) is just as good? Or is Baby'sRus the better choice for us canadians? I have family all over Canada, so I'm not sure how to do this.. Is it ok to just ask for gift cards?
  • THIS!!
  • AJ: Wow, that's a lot of stress that you don't need, try to keep your mind busy, you look like you are calm and cool headed though, so just keep doing what your doing! I'll be sending good thoughts your way!!
  • Jamie, I totally had about 5 days of diarrhea, and just recovering now.. i'm not sure if it was a bug or the pregnancy - did some research on the net and apparently constipation is normal during 1st tri, and diarrhea for 2nd tri.. but i dunno - not fun though !!
  • AJ: Glad that it's nothing major... what is a polyp though?
  • I also need this info! Thanks for posting!!
  • Congrats Chicky on the news! And the name is beautiful, very cute!!
  • smte : Welcome to 2nd tri!! Hopefully things get better for you, I know it got better for me around the 14th week.. I don't know if you've tried popsicles (like the cheap hard ones).. that got me through alot of the sickness... For names, we don't know the gender yet either and my bf is a total pain with names.. he has a…
  • Becky: Congrats!!! I find out in 3 weeks.. feels sooo far!! lol! Welcome to the 2nd trimester board for the new girls! It's always nice to have some new ppl join !! How is everyone doing? Still exercising and eating well? How are we feeling? On my part, I am feeling good exept for the fact that I can only sleep in 2-3 hour…
  • BusyPK : I'm interested in the microfiber fleece inserts.. I have kawaii diapers with inserts and I don't want to use disposable liners because it defeats the purpose.. Once you cut up your piceces and everything, do you put it right over the diaper (between the diaper and baby's bottom) ? It dosen't slip and slide and…
  • Thank you for sharing this!!!
  • I totally understand what you are going through! at 200 lbs, I lost 15 pounds and found out I was pregnant.. after a few weeks, I decided that I wasen't going to worry much about my weight gain, and just continue to eat very well, stuffing myself with complex carbs, fruit and veggies and lean meats and continue exercising.…
  • I very much agree with you - alot of it might be water weight too, which comes off really fast after (or so I hear)!!
  • Thanks for the reassurance ladies! I think it's just that too, I can't wait to actually feel the little one move already! At 16 weeks today, I know I have to be patient lol, it is my first! We are starting to decorate baby's room this weekend! I'm sooo excited! I'm also getting stocked up in reusable diapers, found a bunch…
  • Hi girls - I have a question.. Does anyone feel like they get cramping in the lower abdomen alot? I do, it's not unbearable but it's not so fun either.. I'm just wondering if I should call the OB about it or just wait till my next appt.. I also heard that between 14-20 weeks the baby grows double its size, so maybe it's…
  • Hey Emily, is it closed? I tried to go do it, but access denied..
  • jessdeweerdt : welcome! This trimester has been great for me so far - belly gets bigger and harder, and you start to see that round shape coming through, i'm at 16 weeks and i've seen big changes already!
  • Popsicles were my life saver! lol!
  • I wouldn't exercise for the simple fact that you cannot eat.. and that cannot be good for you, especially if you are hungry in the morning - try doing your workout after if you can :) just a thought!
  • YAY!!! Congrats! I can't wait to find out! July 18th :)
  • I'm totally different, I actually lost 2 pounds, and almost at 15 weeks.. really strange, but no complaints. A good friend of mine gained 50 lbs during her pregnancy and she is the fittest most healthy person I know.. she exercised like crazy the whole time but gained tons of water weight. Her baby is now 2 weeks old and…
  • Hi gals! How is everyone doing? On my part, I have been sick for the last few days, but feeling better now - stupid cold was rough though! Had my last doctors appt last tuesday, I had lost 2 pounds since my last visit, so all in all, I lost 2 pounds during my pregnancy so far (14 weeks) .. I'm guessing it's because I am…
  • Bought 17 used Kawaii diapers for $90 (canadian) - on kijiji (buy and sell local goods online), I have all the liners and a bucket too! I like them because I can use them as small as a newbord child till 2 yrs old or so! The lady I bought them from suggested I use only a wet bucket (instead of dry and wet for poopy and wet…
