I do eat those things (I never stopped eating them) and do live a fun life. I'm interested in learning more about the affect on metabolism (if there is any) more so than gut flora. I've read and conversed with others about the way that pregnancy changes metabolism and how some women feel their metabolism doesn't return to…

Add me too! I'm Dusti, 34 yrs, and have a 7 month old. I've lost 35 lbs and have around 40lbs left. I had back to back pregnancies so I gained waaaay more than I wanted. I need more friends to motivate me.

I'm 5'3" and have lost 34lbs with about 40lbs left. I'm trying to lose the weight I gained with two pregnancies. I'm breast feeding so it's really tough for me to lose it. We are an active family and enjoy the outdoors. We hike, cycle, run, walk, backpack, kayak, and lots more. I lift weights three times a week in addition…

Who am I ? I am Dusti and I currently live in Northern California with my husband, daughter, and two cocker spaniels. My husband is a pilot for the Coast Guard so we move around every 3-4 years. I am originally from Alabama and the hubs is from Virginia. We have two daughters, one deceased and one living. Our youngest…

That link doesn't work. It brings me back here. The group isn't coming up when I search.

Feel free to add me. I am 34, a Coast Guard wife, and new momma. I have been a member of MFP since 2011. I am now focused on losing the baby weight (50 lbs left).

I am nursing a 9 week old. I don't drop below 2000 cal per day (doctor's recommendation), so I eat back some of my exercise calories. I do count breastfeeding as exercise (I enter 400 calories) in addition to my other exercise. It is too soon to tell if this is working for me, but it is a great start and gets me back into…

I can't find the group. Can you please add me?

My husband is active duty CG. He attended the Academy, was on a boat for a tour, completed a tour at headquarters, went through flight school, and is now on his second tour as a pilot. If you have any specific questions, I can try to answer them or ask my husband.

I delivered our stillborn little girl on February 6, 2014. The heartbreak and devastation is tremendous. My husband and I are supporting one another, but it does help me to hear from other women that have been here. It is a terrible club to be a member of... but here I am. I cannot imagine next week or next month...…

I have a Garmin Forerunner 210 (one of the said pricier options) and am in love with it. I've had for almost a year now and am still happy. It has a rechargeable battery, gps to calculate distance and track routes, calorie counter, heart rate monitor, timer, and tons more features. I know it will maintain is usefulness…

I say sash too. You seem really happy in the photos, so I think a little sash or quick stitch for the waist will be perfect. I will say that this happened to me. The wedding and planning stress caused me to lose about 10 pounds the last three weeks, and the week of the wedding... my dress was too big. I disliked it the…

I would go with the tan sandals over the boots. Or as someone mentioned, try punching holes in the straps of my other shoes to tighten them.
-
I wouldn't wear those boots unless you wear a jacket or cardigan. The boots are fall/winter and your dress is spring/summer. But that is my opinion. You could wear almost any color sandal/heel/shoe with that dress (which you look adorable in btw). Do you have purple, yellow, gold, silver, blue, orange, brown?

roger that!

I buy our dogs' food and meds online. It is much less expensive that way. They eat grain-free high quality dry food, take heartworm pills every month, and get a flea/tick/mosquito drop/liquid every month.

I think it is important to learn. Why are you binging? What is causing it? Stress? Anger? Sadness? Boredom? I find that addressing the problem helps with the solution. Once I realized why I was eating (aside from hunger), then I had the will power to stop those actions and focus on finding a real solution.

I get migraines after runs if I don't drink enough water, before and after. Also, allergies/pollen also affect me in the spring.

4-5 hours isn't too long. I would take: carrots, apple slices, clementines (already peeled), boiled egg (already peeled), grapes, nuts, jerky or chicken cut into bite-sized pieces. I would take a couple of refillable water bottles too. EDA: I wouldn't need to take everything above, but for your entire family it would be a…

^ this I also read that. I did the same thing as the above.

I agree. I used a PT 2x/wk for 18 months. The other 4 days of said week, I ran and cross trained. I was not making any progress and finally stopped paying for the sessions (even after trying a different trainer for the last 6 months). I then took the time to educate myself with books, studies, and my doctor's advice. I…

First off, get ready for people to be mad that you aren't eating 1200 cals. Secondly, here is what I do/did: Calculated my BMR and TDEE, accurately selected my activity level, and eat 20% less than my maintenance calorie range. I use : http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/ to help me calculate the above. You can search "tdee"…

I wear my regular bras until I think they should be washed. So any time from once a week to once a month (like my strapless that I haven't worn since the summer). It just depends on how said bra is doing as to when it needs to be washed. My sports bra gets washed after every use because it stinks and is grimey after each…
