Does this look ok? Or just no (pic I hope)
Going to a graduation party and all my heels and platforms had straps that are too stretched out from when I was heavier. This is my 4th party in 2 weeks have a few more coming up and am bombarded with buying gifts so don't want to buy new shoes so do this dress and boots look fine. I hope I posted it right if not some one direct me to the link where someone posted a tutorial pretty much on it. Thanks

Edit: You look fine, btw.0 -
I wouldn't wear those boots unless you wear a jacket or cardigan. The boots are fall/winter and your dress is spring/summer. But that is my opinion. You could wear almost any color sandal/heel/shoe with that dress (which you look adorable in btw). Do you have purple, yellow, gold, silver, blue, orange, brown?0

Don't worry, You look great!0

I think it looks great, but if you have a wide belt, maybe that would help tie them into the outfit a bit better IMO0

i can't see it
** but now i can!
i think it looks good!0 -

This.
Add a belt0 -
IMO the dress looks way too casual for the boots, but then again i don't quite understand the fascination lately with girls wearing summer cloths with winter shoes, but do what you gotta do.
congrats on the weight loss0 -

I agree. A wide belt or a cropped jacket would pull it together better.0 -
You are beautiful! I love the boots & the dress, but I like the suggestion of the wide belt! I think either a wide belt or a little shrug or light cardigan may balance the outfit out a bit?0
-
I would say no to the boots.0
-
Thanks for the fix!!
I thought about it not going cause of the fall/ summer styles. I do have tan sandals, no belt that isn't 10 inches too big. Lol0 -

Old Navy Flip Flops are cheap!!0 -
How about those green shoes on the floor?? lol
You look great! I would definitely add a belt and maybe some jewelry.0 -
Hi, the boots will look ok if you could tressel or curl your hair slightly and maybe a belt0
-
you look great but i agree its the wrong time of year for the boots.0

I totally get you, I had to replace all of my shoes. I say no on the boots. In my opinion they just don't work for the season. You'd be better off buying a pair of $3 black flip flops.
Edit: You do look fabulous though, but it's just a no on the boots for the dress!0 -

My son is obsessed with green, and would not like me wearing his shoes. He would say I am too fat for them. Lol0 -

I would go with the tan sandals over the boots. Or as someone mentioned, try punching holes in the straps of my other shoes to tighten them.0 -
Most of my heels or platforms had stretchy straps and I sure stretched the heck out of them, even the toe area looks too large
The thick black belts I have are like elastic and have only a small amount of leather for buckling0 -
why don't you poke new holes in the straps of your shoes like you would for a belt?
Meant to say this too! However, if you are like me it wasn't just the straps that were too loose, the whole entire shoe was stretched out causing them to flip all around even when the straps were tighter.0 -
I think the boots are way to heavy and clunky looking for a pretty light summery dress like the one you have one. Go to Penney's, Kohl's, TJ Maxx or wherever and get a pair of cheap flip-flops/sandals for $10.0
-
love them, just not together.0
-
I'm all for boots with dresses! But you have to make sure you balance it out on the top. Either match more with all the pieces (I do a lot of black on black), or match your accessories to your boots. You need a belt or a jacket. But you look cute and comfy.0

I agree with this!0 -
You could make it work with a dark blazer or dark belt and cardigan, but as is, it doesn't work. The boots are just way too heavy for that dress.
Pick up an inexpensive pair of sandals from Walmart?0 -
I got a cheap pair of tan sandals last week, thanks everyone0
