Yes, spin bike at the gym! : )

I'll have my iPad or iPhone, so sort of yes!

Yep! : )

How much does anyone notice a difference in how you FEEL once your iron is back up?

I buy it already riced at Trader Joe's or Whole Foods. It is SOOOOO GOOD.

Chunky peanut butter on Lundberg rice cakes. Soooo good! And keeps me from being ravenously hungry as soon as I am finished with my workout.

Chunky peanut butter on Lundberg rice cakes. Plain yogurt with oats and honey. Last night's grilled vegetables (broccoli, yellow squash, zucchini) with farro. Hard-boiled eggs!

Oops didn't mean to post that twice. : )

Farro! Farro! Farro! My new favorite. I love the 'chew' of it - sort of like barley but better - and it's so versatile!

I roast it at about 425 or so.

Yum to all! I have my own way of cutting up a head of it, but other suggestions welcomed! That's the only slightly annoying part (but totally worth it).

Thanks, everyone! I don't buy from Amazon but it's handy for browsing. I wound up browsing many sites (and talking to a chef pal), settling on the Oxo 5-lb Scale, and ordering for $10 (with free shipping!) from eBay. I might want a bigger one over time, but this seems like a good place to start. Hurrah!

This has been a really helpful post to read - so many replies! I'm 46 and trying to lose about 30. It's coming off slowly at 1350 calories (which I don't reach most days due to my spin classes which burn so many calories). On a slightly related topic, I find that my neck is sagging more than ever. It makes me so nervous…

Also . . . try to be patient. Stick with it. It can be so hard but your body is working with you! Having said that, couldn't hurt to try increasing your intake a bit. 1200 is tough. I now do 1300 and it's lovely. : )

Lemon! I also love to toss mine in olive oil, salt, and lemon before sauteeing or roasting. So, so good.

I am loving these posts. I know that, even though I entertained the idea of a face or neck lift for the first time, I know that I could NEVER go through with it. My favorite excerpt from all your words is this: "Enjoy the journey and be happy with your successes and let age take care of itself! Life is too darn short to…

Thank you!

These are great. I just posted a different thread, specifically asking about weight loss over 35 (years old), and how it might age my face. I'm 46, and my neck is already a little saggy, and I'm worried about weight loss making me look even older! I have NEVER cared about such things - truly, not vain - but it's on my mind…

I am sooooo a 1250-girl, too, and some days are tougher than others! If I want to feel at ALL like I can have the tiniest bit of freedom in my day, I have to work out, for sure. Avocado makes me feel much more satisfied but then . . . that takes away hundreds of calories. It's quite a lifestyle!

Thanks. I hear you about protein/fat/fiber, and I find the same thing. I was looking more for specific ideas and examples of what people eat. I'm in a bit of a rut.

Such great feedback and ideas! Thank you - and keep 'em comin'!

Oh, good idea to take off the chest. It's an FT7. Thank you!

Just curious about which brands of frozen veggies do you find most flavorful? Thanks!

Good ideas - How long do these items keep you satisfied?

Thanks, but that was when I was my lower weight, after MFP success last time. I've since gained about 15 pounds. : (
