Good job, Girl!!! Way to go and keep up the good work. Isn't the journey wonderful? Difficult at times, but generally speaking, did you ever know you would be this strong? God Bless! LeeAnn 73 lbs, and counting, 60 to go, feeling great, feeling reborn.

This is good. 3,000 cals per day is too much. Even if you are working out like a banshee, you have to cut the calories, but be smart about it. Lean meats, lots veggies. No cheats.

I get that when I haven't had a bm for a couple days. Eating more fiber than you are used to is also a factor. It happens, but goes away.

Those people are just plain ignorant. Keep on running! Good for you - 8.5 mi? Jeez you will be a stick in no time. Keep it up! Mean people are not worth one second of your thoughts. You may need to lose weight - you'll reach your goal, but they'll always be butt heads.

Yowzer!!! What a wonderful accomplishment!! You go, girl!

Dear Neffesther, Congrats! You look wonderful and I would imagine your're not only peeling off the pounds but that the inside of you is changing too. My doctor told me the "inner weight" is usually so much more that the "outer weight". All the best!

Yah!! Hear! Hear! You hit it on the head. Don't eat it, you won't crave it. Eat the asparagus!! Go Nuts!!!

As soon as I gave up wheat, last April, I no longer have cravings for sweets, flour, sugar, junk food, ice cream, goodies, etc. I eat only pure foods, like it comes out of the ground or off the tree, except for yogurt, honey and peanut butter and meat (small amounts, not more than 4 oz per day, if that). No cravings!! Go…

I hate exercising. I don't like to sweat, the idea of going to a gym with other sweaty people is revolting to me. I don't even want to breathe the same air. Standing there pushing a machine up and down strikes me as stupid, stupid, stupid!!!! But that's just me. That being said, I now walk 3.5 miles briskly (within one…

Stunning! Congrats also on your graduation. Two HUGE accomplishments. Best, LeeAnn

Yup, check out my food diary. Been doing it for 7 months, lost 58 lbs. More to go, but I do not eat wheat, which is a huge factor in my success! Without wheat, you do not crave sweets, bread, pasta, rice, etc. Go figure! It's miraculous. I eat so many vegetables, I will probably sprout leaves. Best of luck, LeeAnn

It will take as long as it takes to make up your mind. I NEVER stop recording. I use it sometimes to plan, and sometimes to gauge if I have gone over (NEVER - whew!) and always to see my nutrition levels. I am losing weight, but I want to be healthy at the end, and forever after. I want the journey to be the destination.…

If I don't have enough protein, I hit plateaus and I'm hungry all of the time! Make sure you have your "ammo" food with you when you return to school. On the long days, take a little can of Bumlebee tuna with you, 17 grams of protein. It's dry, so maybe take a fruit, also. And be sure you have your water. Spend the time to…

Joann, way to go! Isn't it amazing that once you really make up your mind, it is no longer a struggle? I just keep getting better at taking care of myself. Sounds like you are, too!! All the best, LeeAnn

I had a problem eating enough protein in the beginning, because I only eat about 3 oz meat, and although I eat dairy - yogurt and cottage cheese I was not getting enough protein, per my doctor. So he prescribed a protein drink which I now have every day for breakfast, 30 grams protein, 164 calories, wouldn't miss it!…

Since March 7, 2012, lost 56 lbs. 82 lbs to goal, so I will be working at this for many more months. Feel fab, totally changed my life, every day is a joy - I don't cheat and have no set backs at all. Sometimes my weight is up a few oz or even a whole pound but then I drop two pounds in a couple days. I log it, so I know…

Kev: Yah, me too! Or I should say me neither. I might plan a cheat MOUTHFUL, but NEVER a cheat day. Get real, ain't gonna happen!!! I am committed, focused and sick of being over weight. That kind of thinking (cheat day) is not conducive to my fresh new ME. Best
-
90 Lbs since March? Kreike, that's twice as much as me. How in the heck did you do it?
-
Hey that's a great idea! I'm going to check out the online versions of menu planner! Thanks
-
Yah, it's one of the main reasons I did not want to have bariatric surgery, even though I had about 130 Lbs to lose when I started. But, the odd thing is, now that I am on my program and doing well (six months in) liquor in any form is the LAST thing I would put into this "temple". There is no way I want to spike my blood…

Dear Lavitaloca: There is an archive of a thread about this which was helpful to me. Several months ago, probably. Maybe you can still find it here on the MFP site. Some of the stuff people say is, well, just amazing!!! You will always be taken aback by the comments unthinking people will say to or about you. Even looks…
