here's the other question - is it ok to not eat tons of protein? I get about 100g usually unless I'm supplementing w/ protein shakes. Do I have to eat 1g/ pound body weight (or lbm) etc? will I fail if I don't? will I not be able to gain muscle if I don't?

totally. although its so easy to get used to a new norm. sad really because you would have given anything to have the gains you get....too easy to take things for granted.

its supposed to report calories burned - even if you are sitting still (which is what it thinks is happening if you take it off) - it is adding in your natural metabolism calories (which are alot) from just being alive and breathing.....anything extra (like walking) would show up as more calories burned. I assume what you mean is you are not going to have any refined sugars. that's a good thing!! to me that means no sugar in the coffee, but also not eating any "sweetened" processed goods like sugary cereals or muffins etc. I assume you don't mean natural…

but its so good spec wise. hey, once I'm in maintenance, I'll be eating low or even full fat...but its better than many alternatives. I keep telling myself food is fuel. plus, its much tastier to me than cottage cheese, which I've also learned to accept due to its high nutritional content. can't do unflavored BCAA powder…

if all you eat is 2 apples plus all the grilled chicken and broccoli you can stomach (or other healthful substitutes....and also throw in some olive oil, nuts etc in moderation....), then you can definitely lose tons of weight w/o feeling hugry

its crazy how little food it can be to add up to 4000 calories. I'm thinking 1 burrito from Chipotle, a large coke, a bag of tortilla chips, and a slice of cheesecake and you are there. And frankly, that's alot of food for me now, but I remember when it could have been just 1 serving.

hey guys - I work on 55 and 3rd - feel free to add me anyone! Oh - my goto choice is usually Pret or else Cafe Europa (or one of the other Salad makers)....I find soup plus a salad is more satisfying that just salad. Lately, I've been going to Subway and getting a chopped veggie patty salad. Pretty good believe it or not.

looks like there's some "protein crunch" type cereals that have pretty low carbs....I've tried some and they taste like crud. I think you should eat the regular if you are going to eat it at all. otherwise choose something different (eggs for example). try to go natural... even the "healthy" high protein/low carb cereals…
