Both, but I'd log them as cardio, if that's why you're asking. Major calorie burn.

They're pretty nutrient dense, but so are a lot of foods. Nothing in an avocado you can't get somewhere else.

Whenever you get it done! The worst time is "soon"

I love it! I'm in the middle of a month of it and it is so much harder than I thought when I bought it. And Kati had awesome results with it.

I have a few friends who have lost some major weight that I've introduced to what I do. It's amazing to be a part of it, but my husband seriously JUST got on board after 2 years!

The home version is Les Mills Pump! I love it, even though I know it won't compare to the in class vibe.

I make pork cabbage wraps and throw it in the stirfry!

Protein and carbs after is what most of my Insanity friends do. So add some fruit to a protein shake, or they use a recovery drink formulated that way.

I'm about to start training for a 15K! Welcome back!

THIS! Such good advice. I use the first year after a baby to focus on habits, not the scale. Drink a lot of water, nurse your baby, and I stick to about 1800 calories a day to sustain my workouts and breastfeeding. BUT I also get hungrier during her growth spurts so I'm less rigid about nailing my calories over listening…

Yeah, I just can't imagine you'd feel too great. blech.

I've got about 40 to lose too! Welcome!

This is sound advice to keep you successful toward your goals.

Put the scale away and make a plan. :) Every day of action will help knock off that feeling.

1200 is too little for most people, honestly. I'd bump it up to around 1500 and see how you do.

Hey everyone! I'm a mom to four girls (8, 6, 3, and 7 months). I lost all the weight I gained from the last pregnancy, but there was an extra 30 or 40 before that, so I'm back to work! I'd love to connect with other moms on their journeys. It's definitely complicated - between the kids, volunteering at the school, working,…

Welcome welcome!

Do you have the ability to get the app? The more consistent you are in tracking and planning, the more success you'll have!
-
Yep. I love weights, but I know a lot of people that have lost weight and cut body fat with intense cardio and bodyweight exercises!

I feel better when I weigh in less. So I aim for every few days. I want to track more than weekly to see if I need to adjust mid-week, but daily isn't helpful for me (and a lot of women have times of the month when weight fluctuates really easily).

One hour is awesome! You have to start to be great and this is an awesome start. One day at a time.
-
You can do this!

The biggest thing is to stop the cycle by letting it go. You binge, you beat yourself up, you make more poor choices, and then the road becomes hard and depressing. instead, just let it go and hop back in. And then you piece together the little triumphs to keep you going! We often focus so hard on failing that one misstep…

Big hugs - my good friend got started because he couldn't get the airplane tray to go all the way down. Our reasons can be so varied, but we're all in this together.

Really depends on your level of fitness...but they say anywhere from 500-800 in a 60 minute class, so extrapolate from that. Not scientific or totally accurate though. HRM is going to be your best bet.

I've been thinking about X'ing again. :) I dropped a lot of weight with it last year.

Welcome back! I love baking too, but I can't seem to stay disciplined when I do it. :( It's a struggle. lol
