  • The important thing was that you went in the first place... and that you stayed and did work out. It's more than I can say about me!!
  • I hear ya..... I'm starting this again today too - for real!! Best wishes to you:wink:
  • Hello - I'm new here - - again. I joined earlier in the year, did alright and then completely lost my perspective and have gained all 10 -12 pounds back within the past few months. I'm miserable and hoping that the accountability this site requires will get me back on track.
  • i have to agree with junkgypsy - i was glad to see this thread. I too, fell off the wagon - completely abandoned ship - and have gained back the 10 - 12 pounds I had originally lost. The picture proves it can be done. Thank you.
  • I love Me more than I love: white sugar white flour processed foods
  • Therein lies our answer. The control of our life. Embrace it! Thank you, thank you. You were the motivation I needed today as well. Amazing transformation. :flowerforyou:
  • Wow! You look HOT! :smokin: Totally awesome! I agree with almost everyone elses idea of blue / orange. Way to go! Congratulations! :drinker:
  • Good for you! Eating "clean" and in the right portions makes a big difference.
  • 3 egg whites, 1/4 ff cheddar & a slice of sara lee 45 cal toast. coffee with creamer & vanilla - no sweetner.
  • Everyone has a bad day now and then. You had a good start this morning, so get busy and get an extra workout in to make up for those extra calories. It's not the end of the world! Good job getting back on track today.
  • I am soooo laughing my *kitten* off!! ! That's *me* all day!!! No wonder my bf thinks I'm the cat's meow!! :blushing:
  • I had a bf like that once.... :noway: "see ya.... wouldn't want to be ya!....loser!!" That's abuse.
  • Welcome! This site is a GREAT tool! Use it to it's full potential. You'll find tons of support and motivation. I suggest that you log your food BEFORE you eat it everyday - it's apt to open your eyes to making better choices, and drink lots of water. Also - consider filling out your profile - sometimes it's helpful to look…
  • Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I couldn't have said it better myself. In fact, I'm going to use those comparisons the next time I hear someone use that excuse. "Excuses" - that's all they are. I know people who have bought diet pills/products and diet food/plans (me for one) - (now *there* is an expensive…
  • 3 egg whites, 1/4 fat free cheddar & a slice of sara lee 45 cal toast lots of water
  • Bragging is quite okay on this site! When we accomplish good things, our community wants to know!! Congratulations and keep up the good work!
  • I've learned that, now that I'm free of white sugar, white flour and processed foods, I no longer have the intense carb cravings that I used to. I've learned Free Will. I've learned that if I plan my food, and log it all *before* I eat it, I get a second chance to eat better if I ought to.
  • I agree with packing something and bringing it with you. Getting out of the habit of buying something at work - or wherever you might be would be a good new habit. Bring baby carrots, grapes, Sargento's or Weight Watchers light string cheese, a boiled egg, or some raw almonds. (But not all of that!!) :noway: Resist the…
  • Welcome! You'll find tons of helpful advice and motivation on this site. My suggestions: drink lots of water, and plan - log your food for the day BEFORE you eat it! It's shows you where you're at, and gives you the opportunity to possibly change your mind before consuming something you wish you hadn't. :noway:
  • That IS a great motto. :drinker: We should make it our mantra. Repeat it daily!! "It's more stressful to continue being fat than to stop overeating." I suggest that if someone likes it, they should write it down numerous times and put it where they can see it: on the fridge, "in" the fridge, in the cupboard, on their…
  • Ahhh.... reality. That's the beauty of logging your food BEFORE you eat - the reality is right in front of you - warding off a potentially crappy day. Now, had you just ate whatever it was that you thought you wanted/needed to, and then logged it after the fact.... you might have set yourself up for a crappy day - - but…
  • Sounds like there are a few of us with the same situation (I hesitate to call it a "problem") I measured for an 18, and I didn't have the opportunity to try any dresses on, so I went with the 16 and as my caption states: I'm saving to have the dress altered. I honestly don't care what it costs me - - just take that…
  • Congratulations - good for you! :drinker: I hit 10# off last week too! What a great feeling to know we're on our way!!! We can do this!!
  • Pumpkin Banana Carrot Raisin Sunflowerseed Muffin to start the day - 7:15 a.m. Coffee w/ Sugar free creamer water 9:30 a.m. 3 egg white omlette with 2 slices Smoked Turkey & 1/4 ff cheddar cheese Peppermint tea water
  • I found all of you! That wasn't hard! It's always fun to hear what everyone has going on! Some of you are mighty busy folks!! Wow! I pick up so much useful info from all of you. My week has gone well; boot camp (the low impact version) has been fun (did I say that?) and I'm looking forward to a class at the pool tomorrow.…
  • Such good advice from everyone! I'm proud of the good support system we have here. And ngwife4life, I'm impressed that you're concerned about what you're feeding - or think you should be feeding - your child. Keep up the good work - and use the suggestions given here. My son was always in the 99th percentile as well in…
  • Meeting my "we're in our forties" friend for Subway. So Subway is all I'm sure of right now.
  • Step AWAY from the chocolate. One candy bar doesn't constitute blowing your whole day, so log it and re-claim your day. I really don't understand WHY people do that when they know that we're really trying to get healthy. I listened to a group of gals (they work together) in my Boot Camp say that someone had brought in…
  • Prework out muffin at 5:15 a.m. 10:15 a.m 3 egg whites, 2 slices Land OFrost Honey Ham & 1/2 slice Kraft Singles, in 1/2 a low carb pita!
  • Congratulations on losing 23 pounds! Everyone is right.... people have their reasons for not mentioning it, good. bad or otherwise - sometimes they're just so wrapped up in themselves they are all they think about. That's okay. Keep up the good work - this is for YOU!
