On track at the end of week 3

I have had a flex since November. I am very goal oriented, so I want to see those red lines under my goals turn green. I will go outside and walk at night, until they do. So its a very good motivator for me. I have a goal of biking 10 miles a day and walking 5 miles a day. I've had to figure out how to accurately get the…

2/2/15: 10 Miles on bike in the rain. 5 miles walking in the dark.

I'm in for 140 walking, 200 biking.

I seriously doubt it.

Sure why not.

I do have one suggestion but I won't post it on the board. Hashimotos is pretty much only manageable, its only recently that I've seen it actually cured. I know a few people that have been able to reverse it. I haven't checked my levels yet to see if I'm improving, but so far it hasn't helped my symptoms a lot. But as I…

Hi. I had lost over 100 pounds and then couldn't lose any more, even though I had about another 30 to lose. I plateaued for a couple years and then started gaining, while eating 1200 calories and working out. And I was exhausted all the time. I had my thyroid checked too. And I was told the same thing, that my thyroid…

Whole foods. Whole pizzas....whole pies....whole cakes....whole six packs of Minute Maid Lemonade...you get the picture.

Unfortunately, you can't choose where you want to lose the fat from. As you body loses, it loses at its own rate from all over. You can make those areas appear more toned, as you are losing fat, by doing resistance exercise. Both of those areas can benefit from core workouts. Planks, mountain climbers, pilates 100, reverse…

Just...wow! Sometimes writing is a form of therapy and thinking things through, for me. Could be why you felt compelled to share. It was a gut punch. So honest and open. My thoughts are with you.

You can also send requests yourself to people you find interesting on the forums. Sometimes its easier to find like minded people that way rather than hoping they will notice and send you a request.

Brains, the ability to have fun, and a sly sense of humor.

I lost over 100 pounds and started wearing mine on my middle finger about 7 years ago. I moved them from my left ring finger to my right ring finger and when that got too big, moved them to my left, middle finger. People will occasionally ask, and like you, I explain that its due to weight loss. I had them made bigger when…

I'm trying to avoid gluten for a while to see if it makes a difference in my Hashimotos disease. Some doctors say it does others say it doesn't. Much like everything else to do with Hashimotos, you have to figure it out for yourself. So I'm looking for gluten free things to try. Thanks for braving the snarky comments to…

When I was 285, I had three kids walk behind me down a sidewalk, oinking like pigs. I'm completely again child abuse, but it was tempting at the moment.

When I was 285, three kids about 10, 7, and 5 walked behind me down the sidewalk, oinking like pigs, as I was walking from my car to the grocery store. Kinda wanted to knock them down and sit on them.

Whatever I have. Mayo, honey mustard, relish, onion, hard boiled egg, pumpkin seeds, cheese, shredded lettuce. Not all at once. Always the mayo and honey mustard, and then any combination of the other stuff. But I just eat it in a bowl, not on bread.

Way too often. I live in Reno and weirdness seems to follow me. In our previous house, once when we heard a loud crash in the middle of the night on the busy street behind our house. My husband and I got up and used a chair to look over the block wall behind our house. We saw a body lying on the ground behind our wall. We…

Huh. I've never been numbered. I must be doing something wrong

You also may not necessarily have loose skin. I lost over 100 pounds and did not have any loose skin. And I was in my late 40's when I lost it. Good genes, I guess. My skin is pretty elastic and I lost it slowly. It just never sagged.

I ate crickets last year on a dare with my grandkids. Nacho cheese flavored crickets to be exact. That exoskeleton just will not go away. Little bits of it just stay in your mouth unless you rinse and spit. And even then you run across the random bit every so often for hours later. My freak grandchildren, however, love…

Rockstar!!!! Way to stay with it and reach your goal!

I spent a summer in Japan when I was 17 years old. I ate a lot of strange things there. Once while we were swimming in the ocean, Otosan (father of the Japanese family I was with) speared a small squid. He cut off the tentacles and gave me one and the suckers still worked and I had to gnaw it off my finger. It was kind of…

Odditblue. But she doesn't fish for compliments on the forums, so no one knows.
