  • If I do eat one... it's those small FUN size ones. Gives me the chocolat kick. It's the other stuff I fight to avoid.. like potato chips, french fries, etc... GOOD LUCK !!
  • Beautiful !!! I have had the same battle. Not believing the size and scared to get the smaller size.
  • I went to Goodwill when I wasn't done loosing, but stuff was hanging off of me. OK.. so you have to search thru a lot of JUNK, but I got a few pairs of pants that held me over. And the prices are better off. I probably bought too much stuff brand new that now that stuff is too big. Or maybe find a church clothes closet…
  • Bless you friend... I know, too how hard it is when you are missing your Mom / Dad. Easter in particular is harder for me becuase my Mom passed during Holy Week (22 years ago). Once again, I cried. Eucharist (I am Lutheran) is such an important part of our service and moves me every time. It sounds like you are taking the…
  • AWESOME !!! I hope to do the COLOR RUN this summer. I am the same way... I can "almost" make the entire 5K.. but usualy end up walking a bit. I'm still pretty slow... definitely not out there for speed. Keep working at it !! And I bet you'll see improvement every time you race !!
  • I have to look straight ahead... mostly at the timer, just to keep me walking straight. If I glance up at the TV or around the room, I'll vear to the side. Haven't fallen yet, but did hit the side of the track a few times. It took me quite a while before I could let go and walk without the rails. And then had to work up to…
  • Just appreciate the efforts he put out making the meal. Eat a smaller portion. You look like youv'e done a great job so far, so one night here and there is not going to be a big deal. My hubby does it all the time. But his idea of making supper is something he can pull out of the freezer and plop on a tray and in the oven.…
  • Mine chases rabbits in his sleep.. with his legs twitching. Scared of vaccuum. Will be-head, de-squeak, de-stuff any squeaky toy we give him. Now we gave him a huge long raw hide bone.... he hasn't chewed it at all and has had it for over 8 months. He runs all over the house with it. I'm sure my calves are black and blue…
  • I used the active.com one. But Zen Labs has a really nice one that you can use on your smart phone. When I run outside I use RunKeeper, but I have to program in my intervals. Having the ones with GPS is nice, because you can see where you have to go to get the distance. GOOD LUCK !!
  • A rest day is always a good thing !! But you can make it an "active" rest day. My active rest day is an easy walk with my dog.
  • This is my battle too. I have lost 38 pounds total... but BFP is still too high. Gym program director continues to tell me I need to build muscle, but now that I didn't leave any meat on my bones to work with. So I'm working on strength / weight training. And trying to up my protein intake. I use that thing you hold out in…
  • I tend to be a bit obsessive about stuff like this. so I didn't want to repeat. But as I went along, I finally decided... I'm not in a race now, so why not just do what feels right. We aren't being graded or analyzed. So I did repeat weeks... sometimes several times for the same one. And I walked when I "REALLY" needed it.…
  • Graduated from C25K a month or so ago.... but like others have said, I don't run the 5K in the alloted time in the program. That's OK with me... I just keep plugging away. Right now I'm at 5K in around 38 minutes. So I took the plunge and decided to move ahead to 10K. Program manager at gym said that working on 10K should…
  • I take care of that by NOT CLEANING at all... Works well for me. Although the DUST HIPPOS are getting pretty big. LOL !!! If they want to clean that much ... then please come to my house !!
  • Doing the CHICKEN DANCE in the MILK aisle. Practicing your JUGGLING with EGGS...
  • 2 days on the treadmill, 1 day outside. I am running on time right now... cause I'm pretty slow. I actually find treadmill easier. Too easy for me to start walking outside, but if the treadmill is pushing me, I can keep going. It's more boring on the treadmill... GOOD LUCK
  • I stayed at week nine for about 3 weeks, just working on my endurance (I'm still way too slow).. Then several of us at the gym decided to move on to C210K, so I figured why not... I'll give it a go. STILL slow as every, but I made it to week 2. As others have said... mix it up. Do some conditioning / strength training…
  • Shoooot... I think I was passed by the MALL WALKERS when I first started. Granted I was on medical leave recovering from surgery. Was quite a victory when I could pass them. Yup... you may be stiff / sore. I have that alot. I run every other day... on the off day, I still do something. Some weight lifting, easy dog…
  • Sure it's a good plan !!! There's nothing wrong with walking during the runs. I completed week 9. I am very very VERY slow... and I still walk sometimes. Every time you go out it'll work toward your goal... even if you are walking. March 3 is weeks away, so just keep chipping away at it. I have run in about 4 - 5K's and I…
  • CONGRATS !!! Keep up the great work .... YOU can do this !!
  • Hi there Lily... Almost 52 here. I make use of the company provided Gym. Feel very lucky to have it available to me and it makes the difference for me. Monday - Friday ---- 6:15am. I have to do it in the morning. I find too many excuses if I try to do it after work. Mix of cardio and weight / strength training. Treadmill…
  • I have back, knees, and hips issues, so I just started it out slow. May mean that I walk part of it. Someone else recommended it... Couch to 5K is great !!! I couldn't do much in the beginning and now can run almost the entire 5K. Be patient with yourself and don't think you have to go far / fast right away !
  • I am a big klutz, too. I can trip just walking down the hallway in the house. Live in a small town, so no sidewalks in my neighborhood. But even running on the street I have to concentrate because the county doesn't repair the potholes very often in my area. I am amazed at the 5:30am runners.. it's pitch dark out there and…
  • My pace is between 4mph and 4.5mph. I went up to 5 a few times, but can't sustain that for long. An advice I heard was to increase every 5 minutes. Hit the up arrow twice. Sothat ismy goal to increase my speed.
  • Did a 2+ mile run with my dog.... in the cold rain this morning !! Tomorrow will be food and maybe a walk with the dog again. And then more food !!
  • OH dear.... maybe that's where my problem has been. I am not gonna worry about it too much. I already know that I'm not going to succeed in the "Maintain No Gain" challenge we are having at work. Hoping that it's only a pound or two and not FIVE !!! Hope you all enjoy your licking...
  • A good friend !
  • Still won't get me out of going to the gym. But I will skip the bulgarian lunges, just in case. Lol
  • I am a sucker for British accent which explains why I married one !! Lol
