  • Just eat a bigger breakfast. You probably won't even notice you're eating more that way and that's when you need those calories the most.
  • Goals: 1. Do three months of P90x Lean program. 2. Lose 2 inches off my waist for a 25 inch waist. It's possible, I know it is, because I've consistently been losing in this area! 3. Lose 1 inch off each arm :grumble:. 4. Be able to do a pull-up.
  • I don't think they'll die or anything as they are closely monitored and usually extremely obese so their fat stores are enormous, although I think that the show itself is a tad extreme and some people just go back to their old habits afterwards if they haven't been taught to eat better or just lack of will.
  • Legs as they have a good shape to them not too thin and straight not too "curvy" and wide although I would like them to shrink one inch on both calves and thighs =P, butt (small yet round from swimming), and bust (maybe, they're naturally big for my height and size...).
  • If your clothes are falling off you, you're definitely losing something! Just keep up the good work! :flowerforyou: With dresses the most important thing is the fit and finding the dress type that suits your body shape, not necessarily your weight. I'm sure you'll look great.
  • If this is something that you do not do on a regular basis and is not accounted for in your activity level, I would count it. Heck I used a heart rate monitor to check how many calories I was burning mopping the floor for 50 minutes. I burned about 100 calories! So if you're doing hard labor count it and make sure to take…
  • Did you lose 20 lbs since June 2009? It may take a while longer for major measurement differences or maybe you're measuring at different sites and times? I always measure at my belly button so I never measure at a different spot.
  • SW: 120 Weight Last Friday: 118 Weight This Monday: 118
  • If you're hungry (your tummy is growling and the hunger is affecting your workout efficiency) and not just craving food, EAT FOOD! Do not deny your body what it wants. If it's hungry it's your body's way of telling you you need FUEL, there's no reason not to feed it as long as you're feeding it nourishing stuff. It's a…
  • Don't drink the soda....you're doing far more harm than good. And soda doesn't have a ton of calories either just sugar and artificial stuff that makes you crave bad things and gives you headaches, etc. If you're eating 3 meals a day with snacks in between, I don't see how you can't eat the 1250 calories...Don't eat…
  • Water + homework = No seriously, I don't even have time to think about food after dinner. I'm cranking the midnight oil. :frown: Like right now. Keeping busy will keep your mind off the snacks. Don't go to the fridge as it isn't even a hunger issue.
  • It's important to eat more during the morning and afternoon, especially important for full-time students like us! You can't live off of coffee or water! Food should be plentiful at the college food courts no and don't the coffee places serve food? There's always to go things that I can get if I'm running out of time at the…
  • I eat 3 meals + 2-3 snacks per day as I cannot go without eating for too long and do not like to feel stuffed at meal times. I can't eat a lot in one sitting anyway and usually end up hungry within 3-4 hours. I find that this works for me as I am a student and in constant need of fuel walking around the city, thinking, and…
  • Age: 20 (Rounded up) Real Age: 15.6 O.o! I'm supposedly not working out hard enough. WHAT?! 6 days per week 60 minutes per day + normal walking most days. o.O I also should be taking supplements and eating 6 to 11 servings of grains per day. Who the heck eats 6 to 11 servings of grains per day anyways? O.O That would be a…
  • You can start off doing the Lean program instead of Classic or Doubles as the Lean program focuses more on cardio rather than strength training. Btw most women will not build very much muscle in three months, especially on a calorie deficit so you shouldn't worry about gaining a lot of muscle. P90x will probably help you…
  • Darn, I saw this at Whole Foods and didn't get it. Does it taste good? How well does it mix with water?
  • Trust me when you're actually jogging, what people think about you will be the last thing on your mind. All you'll feel is the pain and burn. Just remember to wear a GOOD bra. You definitely do not want your boobs to be bouncing around and a suitable outfit for jogging. Other than that people will have no reason to…
  • Dear, "real food" comes out of the ground or water and from animals and plants. McDonalds is as about as artificial as you can get. I wouldn't substitute the cheese, eggs, or bread for lower calorie fake food versions. Eat the least processed foods, meaning real eggs, cheese, bread, etc (the stuff your body knows how to…
  • Oh oops, I totally misread your post. I thought you said you did eat a lot of junk food. :blushing: It was probably oversized portions and poor eating habits. When I was a child, I ate a lot of vegetables, fruits, fish/seafood, good meat portions not oversized, little fried or oily, almost no fast food or restaurant food,…
  • Steamed fish. Vegetable dishes.
  • It's because of the junk food. If you're eating junk food everyday, no amount of exercise is going to really help since it would take a lot of exercise to burn off the calories of a Big Mac or Snickers bar. Eating junk everyday will completely cancel out the exercise and then some. Not to mention junk food doesn't signal…
  • Parsley contains a lot of iron, a lot of vitamin C to help absorb the iron, and is relatively easy to eat. Use parsley as a garnish for your dishes. =) It's also got a lot of other amazing benefits: http://www.naturalhealthtechniques.com/diet_nutrition/ParsleyBenefits.htm
  • Monday weight: 119 Friday morning update: 118 lbs! Weeeeeee. I guess starting school is actually good for something haha.
  • But you're ignoring the whole upper body from your shoulders/arms to back to your core muscles!!! These muscles have tremendous important in our lives. I take it you workout at a gym. Go to the weight training area of the gym. Do core work on mats, weights, push ups, squats, whatever your fancy.
  • Yup, and it's a lot cheaper. I would try to get the organic kind to. Tea's so cheap anyways and most tea bags can be used more than once.
  • I'd bet that your body has gotten used to the running, especially since you're running 5x per week. Running is great for lower body strength, but it's probably not as difficult for you anymore (your heart rate is lower). So I would incorporate something new into your routine that you aren't already used to.
  • Definitely start incorporating strength training into your workouts. You may not lose much weight, but you're probably at least lose some flab.
  • Just drink regular green tea and make sure to have a lot of water too.
  • If you're eating every three-four hours (carbs, protein, and fat), I don't see how you cannot eat the minimum 1200 calories. If you're eating only 3 meals a day, there's the tendency to undereat at breakfast and lunch and eat a lot of calories for dinner. Not the best idea.
  • I don't think the $300 is worth it. :flowerforyou: You could literally cause devastation to your body. 130 to 110 in 11 weeks will not be a healthy weight loss and will probably cause some skin problems (loose skin, etc.)
