I guess we are all different, but they work for me. I never did say that they were filling..... but that I know for me that eating just a few will make the hunger pangs stop.... completely go away. I like that, because I hate feeling hungry.

Slowly cutting portions. Started out w 1 cup of oatmeal now at 3/4. 1 cup of yogurt, now 1/2 cup w fresh or frozen fruit. Started w 1/2C brown rice as a side now 1/3C. You get used to stuff.....after awhile it's the new norm. AND anything I don't have self control over has to be bought in pre packaged servings. Like chips…

Publix cheesecake! My son's choice of birthday cake today. Thought 1/12 of cake would be around 300 cal. NOT 420! If I had known that I would not have eaten it. 420? It's just not that good. BUT went for 4 mile walk to make up for it.

Nuts! I especially love almonds. Yes they are high in fat, but it's good healthy fat. I don't know why buy a small amount of almonds can stave off hunger for me, and I am talking like 8 almonds. Good for you! Get yourself back on track and reach that goal. I am in the same boat. 4.5lbs up since my last weigh in 3 months ago..... but just finished my first week back on MFP and I am ready to start seeing the scale move in the other direction. Good luck!
