I just signed up for a new gym. 2 miles or 5 min away. Love it and was able to go this morning!

@JocelynDeshane I had it and I still so although I noticed it's way less now and I'm not the first to notice my own improvements. What really helped me is eating less junk and reducing salt/sodium. I have also lost a couple of lbs and that helped but when I really tried to not eat so much processed stuff is when I noticed…

What equipment do you have?
-
@karintalley I just signed up yesterday! Beautiful gym, such an upgrade from my old one though more expensive but I think worth it!

I just learned there is a grand opening at an LA Fitness near me and it has a pool! Looks like I'll be switching over ;) sorry Crunch Fitness

I actually look forward to measuring everything each day. It's motivating me to stay on track especially after a plateau. I also love seeing how few calories veggies have but how high their nutritional value is! I'm learning so much with it.
-
That's what I need! Measuring spoons!
-
Awesome! Exacty what I'm looking to hear! I am so excited to start weighing and measuring my foods and are what happens. I have definitely stalled in my weight loss.

which do prefer? Is the garmin for running? I want to upgrade my ft4.
-
@GRITSandSLUTS did you buy them online? I bought a regular one from target but I heard the WW ones are great!

Congrats!! 60lbs is quite an accomplishment! I suck at eyeballing and am just realizing this!
-
@diannethegeek did you find you started to lose more weight after measuring?
-
@professionalHobbyist I also use a heart monitor. Polar ft4. Which do you use? It is amazing how different the calories burned show on the cardio machines on comparison to what is shown on the watch. I always have the machines show 70+ calories more.

@natabost YES! According to serving size I always thought I was a family of four

May I suggest everyone purchase a food scale!
-
May not be the coffee... Do you add milk? Or creamer? That may be the culprit.
-
@cheshirecatastrophe thank you! I will definitely try all of those suggestions, especially strengthening of my glutes and hips as those are my weak areas anyway. I think that may be a big part of it.

@marmaladepixie it's almost like a burning inside the knee difficult to explain but I think it may be the way I am running as I have began to feel pain in my upper buttocks/lower back area. It gets better as I go and I do make sure to warm up and cool down each time. I am wondering if any knee support wraps help?
-
Thank you everyone! I will definitely be packing lunch and will make sure to make time for the gym to destress!
-
I have been fitted but I'm probably due for new sneakers anyway. Thanks!
-
Thats a good idea! It'll also fold up easily in the thin lockers at my gym and machine washable...thats brilliant for gym clothes!
-
haha thanks but that was two summers ago! Thats where I'd like to be...13lbs lighter. =)
-
Thank you! I was looking at one of these: http://www.luglife.com/Puddle-Jumper-Overnight-Gym-Bag#.TrGDPUP7jKE ...but the price is twice as much as I'm willing to pay for a gym bag.

http://www.drugstore.com/organix-penetrating-oil-renewing-moroccan-argan/qxp336545?catid=183459&fromsrch=organix Moroccan oil by Organix is my favorite product. I have long thick bleached hair (years of highlighting have dried it out) and this is the only stuff that actually makes a difference. I have paid up to $47 for a…

That's a really good idea if you cannot get a workout in early. You have something to look forward to after your workout and I'm sure it helps you to make better choices for dinner. I also have a tendency to feel sluggish after I eat and fall into a food-coma.
